Is a no-hitter still a tremendous accomplishment?

Cooling Off
There have been seven of them thrown this season. There have also been several near no-hitters. It's a cool achievement IMO, but it's nothing that special anymore.

What say you?

I would say it is still extremely special, especially since only 7 happened. There are so many chances of it happening but only 7 times in a year is pretty crazy. And it's not like its 7 every year.

I think that's why they are so special because you aren't just counting on the pitcher. You have to count on everyone playing, luck, weather, etc.

Recently is trolling hard. No hitters are still amazing feats. The list of pitchers who have never done it is long and impressive.

should be an asterisk next to Homer's no-hitter since he did it against the Pirates, the worst effing team in baseball at this point in time.

2,430 total games played this year with only 7 no-nos.

That's .28% on the year. Yeah....nbd

PBoy has some weird thing with St. X. I openly hate St. Louis, but I admire and envy what they've accomplished.

I don't wish Cincinnati to be like St. Louis, except for the World Series part. I think their players cry too much and act like children. If the Reds acted like the Cardinals, I'd denounce my fandom.
