Indian Hill has been playing well lately and is not a team anyone wants to face in the playoffs.

How did the Braves do against X? X needs a good bounce back after losing to Moe & UA.

IH 9 X 8 OT Nicky k with two goals and game winner Murray 2 goals great game

WOW...all i have to say...WOW

9-8 in OT, in the end of regulation IH had the ball with 6 seconds left and down by 1, number 24 David Krehbiel runs x and rolls crease shoots and makes it with like .2 on the clock...the most insane ending to a game ever...then X and IH battled back anf fourth in OT till X was called with slashing and IH capitalized on man up and ended the game...Both teams played hard and it was just a amazing game

Great game as good as any match in Colunbus

This is crazy.. Moe stoms IH in the beginning of the Season... Moe and X have a very close game.. but then IH beats X.. i can only think that now IH is playing very well, or X decided to take IH lightly

Huge Win for IH!

:hello:
Incredible game! As always, the big matchups in R4 always turn out to be exciting. The game tying shot by Krehbiel was amazing- avoiding the crease and putting it in at nearly impossible angle. Not sure what St. X defense was doing letting him come from far corner all the way around the cage?!

Game overall was very well played. X's #20 Keuchly controlled most face-offs and in general looked like St. X was winning more GBs. X ran up a 5-2 advantage but IH pulled back to 5-4 just before half. IH goalie Krall had a great game- must have had 15-20 saves and then X started missing the cage late. IH had long possessions in second half with lots of shots on goal.

Overall a pretty even match-up and exciting game to watch. Not a huge surprise as IH has been playing better as season moved on and saved many of their R4 match-ups until late. Should be a good game vs. Lakota as well.

St. X, in contrast, started hot but has played a fairly soft schedule compared to IH and Moe and saved some of their tougher match-ups until late as well.
They seem to be slowing down as IH gets going so agree the playoffs should be a heated contest!

I hear the game-tying goal came after 0:00. Shouldn't have been allowed.

Didn't see it myself, but that's what I'm hearing.

Why didn't your defense let #24 run from the sideline around the net and score and no one hit him. Oh yeah you were not at the game like R4laxfan said it was a great game a tribute to both coaches all the players and you are crying about the clock but you were home watchin IDOL why the rest of us were watching a great game.

What's with the attack? I'm not crying about anything. Show me where I said anything about how I felt about the situation. I wasn't crying, whining, or complaining. I merely made a factual observation. I never said one word about my reaction to it, how I felt, etc.

Home watching Idol. What a tool. :Ohno:

I'm not sure if any tape shows it but one referee watched the clock at the end of the game, waiting to hear the other ref's whistle, it was a legitimate goal. As for the call in OT, it was a questionable call which could have gone either way (a 30 sec. call for push from behind I think). Not sure I would have made that call though as it pretty much decided the game.

If i was refing i would probably called a trip before a push but the ref made a legitimate call and from watching the game it seem IH won fair a square.. you can't blame a game on the refing

:soapbox: Let's keep in mind that the last second shot SHOULD have been for the win since IH was denied a goal that was clearly in the top of the net and bounced out late in the 4th quarter.

This is the third time I've seen this happen this season so....

1) don't count on the refs to make you any game saving calls late in game
2) don't count on the clock to save you... gotta play through the final horn/ whistle/ cowbell
3) let's agree that any one goal game could just as easily have gone the other way unless it was a last second score by a team down by 5-10 and coming back against late game subs...

Scoreboards will do the talking in the playoffs ;)

You got that right... So many people seem eager to dismiss Saint Xavier right now. I don't get it. OK, they got stomped by UA. There's a lot of that going around. Other than that they had two nip-and-tuck road losses to Moeller and Indian Hill. Either one of those games, one little break and you win instead of lose. A ref's call... a shot that sneaks in instead of hitting the pipe... they were this close in both those games. And if they win those two games, everybody's talking about how DOMINANT Saint Xavier is.

It just goes to show you how little the difference is between being DOMINANT and being dismissed as a probably early playoff loser. (And, how eager people are to jump on the X-hater bandwagon.) And, how little such prognostications mean when the rubber hits the road.

a ref's call....hmm.....that would have done a lot for x when they couldnt score against moe in the second half. it also would have done a lot for that goal IH scored that didnt get counted.

a shot that sneaks in instead of hitting the pipe.....well...self explanatory...the aforementioned not-counted goal by IH.

being on the road doesn't mean crap. X had an extremely vocal crowd at both the Moe and IH games. that doesn't change anything.

here's what will change something, plain and simple: x playing a full game.

I was making generalities. Sorry if that wasn't painfully obvious.
