How to find Junior High Open Tournaments

How do you find OPEN junior high tourneys in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana?
I have been on:
Ohiowrestler.com and it seems they only have OAC seeding tourneys...anything else available?
Novice forum cruizer looking for some good info.
Thanks!

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong (please do), I believe it's against Ohio Jr High rules to wrestle open when on your school's team during the season. Therefore many open tourneys don't bother w/ a JH div because most are wrestling for thier own school, and therefore very low turnout for JH div. (or 11-15 ???). At least thats the way see it.

Check back on OhioWrestler come march... You'll have somewhere to wrestle every weekend til Nov :thumb:

As long as you don't mind the drive. The competition is awesome in PA.
This weekend is North Hills. Great tournament. Also, hit themat.com events listings and filter your search. What weekends are you looking for?

Medina is this next weekend and is going to be brutal from what I hear. It is listed as a ( youth) tournament but they have a 13-15 div.

Isn't that Philo Weekend? January 15th? I would bet that's the toughest JR High Tourney anywhere that weekend.

I believe Medina is on Jan. 8. North Hills (Pittsburg) is on Jan. 9. Either one of these (or both, I suppose) would be worth the trip. And, of course you are right, TaterSalad...Philo is the King of JR High Tourneys.
