That was also my experience. Aldi's had some for $8 a pound, so we tried it out.

Leaner less fatty than typical beef. But expensive. Had a bison burger in South Dakota it was good, but it is expensive in these parts.

I’ve done bison burgers and bison filets. Bison burger was solid. I much prefer filets from cows over bison. Wasn’t worth the money and even if money wasn’t a factor, I’d still choose cow for filets 10/10 times.

Love it. Worth trying but ground bison around here isn't worth the price and low fat doesn't make it ideal for burgers imo

What about an Ostrich burger? It has more fat but you eat less of it.

As earlier posts stated....Bison leaner much better for those avoiding Cholesterol intake. Bison burgers taste more "beefy to me , kind of like a ground steak. But actual "Bison" steaks not a fan of at all.

I have eaten Ostrich, Bison a few years ago way up in boondocks of north Montana I was given the choice of a hamburger, Bison burger and a Elk burger. I pick the Elk and it was not bad. I while back I checked the price of Ostrich steaks and it is priced out of my budget.

I'm don't know what you mean by "bison beef."

Beef is cattle, which a bison is not. Like most, I eat beef.

I've had bison. I thought it had a stronger, gamy flavor. It did not agree with me.

I have had bison ground with hamburger. It was OK.

I've had beefalo, a bison-cattle crossbreed, hamburger. It was OK too.
