Greene County Preview at Xenia

I saw a few of the games (which were two quarters each) at Xenia HS tonight. Carroll was the best team there. They are big, having five players listed at 6-0 or 6-1. Carroll beat Fairborn, with the Pats defense pretty much shutting down the Skyhawks. Final was ~23-14.

Beavercreek zipped out to a 13-0 lead, and easily handled Stebbins, 22-12. No surprise there.

Xenia played Meadowdale, and neither looked good on offense. Xenia needs a lot of work to compete in the GWOC.
 
 
Carroll v. Fairborn was actually 28-18 final... It was 10-7 Carroll after 1, and I think Fairborn had it down to 5 with about 1:30 to go and the ball... so it was a closer game than the final, but Carroll did control the entire game. I was a little disappointed in Fairborn's intensity, and defense. They need to rebound better too.

Xenia is scary bad. I'm sorry to say that, that bluntly but... the GWOC is no place to be looking like they did.

I didn't see the other games.
 
MarcusJ, thanks for the correction on the Carroll vs Fairborn score.

Xenia lost almost all their scoring from last year's team, including Brianne Thornton at 15 ppg. Unless the new kids step it up, it's going to be a long season for the Bucs.

The one player that Xenia did have that was any good transfered to Wayne. SHOCKING I KNOW! :Ohno:
