It is shameful the way Manchin abandoned his own people. Perhaps no state needed the BBB more than West Virginia. Another thing that I don’t get about Manchin is his affinity for protecting the super wealthy. I read a while back that West Virginia is the only state that does not have a single billionaire.

Source please. In the polls I have seen West Virginians supported the individual portions of the BBB, but when asked about the entire bill they did not. Seems to suggest that they have been lied to about what was actually in the bill. For example, they overwhelmingly supported aid for child care. The poorly educated West Virginian was led down the wrong path by the biggest liar in the history of our country, the great orange a-hole.

BS, conservatives own talk radio and more than hold their own with television. Even when people on Fox are caught in outright lies about things like Jan 6th.

So who is it that will get to decide what is truth and what is lie? I will only agree to this if I am the one that gets to pick truth and lies.

Too many times opinions are declared lies. when in fact they are just opinions. The problem is we consider opinions truth just by who states them as facts. If my side says it, it is the truth and if your side says something it is an out an out lie. Got that? That is why I want to be the one to pick what is true and not allow you anywhere near it.

Too many of our citizens seem to think our nation allows ‘freedom from’ instead of ‘freedom of’.
As much as I disagree with some of the liberals on this site, they have freedom of speech. I do not have freedom from their speech, and vice versa.
Freedom itself suggests people are free to be wrong, free to lie, free to live in the streets, etc.
It is ignorant to think freedom to succeed or freedom to fail can be legislated for or against.
What too many lack is the morality to discern between right and wrong, and therefore accept/reject words and deeds based upon right/wrong.
Our moral compass, as a nation, is just whacked out these days.
Some of the people we should be able to trust have gotten really good at convincing the masses that problems exist, even when the facts don’t support the validity of the problems.
Our greatest threat - ignorance of what right and wrong really is.

I disagree with almost everything the liberal Democrats support and I am willing to bet that if I read the BBB entirely I bet I could find an item in the bill I could support. Because of one item or maybe even two, there is no way I would vote to pass the rest of the garbage that is in the bill. So telling me they support this part or that part might be true but 74% of the people of West Virginia are smart enough that you do not pass trillions of wasteful garbage to get one or two items you like.

Actually he didn't abandon his state. Trump won every county in WV so that would lead one to believe the people of WV wanted Trump policies more then Joe's and that's how Manchin voted.

This is the reason they attacked Christianity in schools first. That^ was the leftists' goal.

You just indirectly described the failure of the dems. As in, "When you try to become all things to all people, you end up being of little real benefit to anyone.".

Who decides what is wrong and what is right? Which *side" determines morality? I feel the answer is somewhere in the middle but there is too few willing to go there.

Bob you hit it right on the head … the part of this that makes me the most frustrated is how each party changes their belief based on which side … for example the selection of our supreme court judges … when there was an opening under the Obama one side you can name a judge in the president’s last year and other side claimed you should be able to … 4 years later under Trump both sides flipped their opinions based solely on who was in charge … right is right … it shouldn’t matter if it was Obama or Trump picking … either the President should be able to pick or he shouldn’t … this flip flopping because it us and not them mentality drives me crazy!!!

I have no struggles. I can see the faults on both sides and do not worship at the feet of any mortal being. No one is perfect and neither is either party. It must be hard living life hating half of the population just because of their political beliefs. I have better things to do.
