Then again is a digital currency all but a fait accompli needed to keep America competitive in a world economy that is embracing digital currency?

There's nothing wrong with a CBDC in and of itself, but only if and I mean ONLY if the part on the dollar bills that say "legal for all debts public and private" gets extended to having to accept it as a payment no matter what. The serial numbers need to come off, too. I can think of no more important constitutional amendment unless we want to be like Russia and China.
