Foot Locker XC Nationals (Midwest Regional Meet)

We are working with Foot Locker committee about the possibility of moving the midwest regional meet here locally for next year. They want to see how much interest and participation we can get from our part of the midwest. If anyone is planning or was trying to figure out which meet to go to this year for post season (11/30 Regional) please consider trying to help us get a national meet locally. This current year the midwest meet will be hosted in kenosha as it has been for years but they are looking for a new location to get more athletes. What courses are being considered? Are you only working with them for Ohio courses?

Cedarville seems like it would be appropriate. Dayton airport is only about 30-35 minutes and CMH is about an hour.

Silver Creek in Norton is hosting the D1 NCAA Great Lakes Regional this year and would be a good course but parking would be an issue. Remote lots with shuttles would be required.

I see it going to Terre Haute if it really does get moved from Kenosha.

I know that the VOA course is "supposed" to be reconfigured this winter with a new start/finish line and it has plenty of parking, hotel, and in the middle of two airports.
The course is rolling hills but is typically fast in fall but not sure about that late in the season with weather. It is not the most spectator friendly course but I bet that they could make some tweaks to improve it.

Cedarville is what is being considered at this point and it will be going thru a revamp also making it more spectator friendly. Silver creek is a great course but parking is a real mess. It will be interesting to see how it does with the D1 meet there this year. D3 was there last year and they had shuttle from the local hs to get people there but D1 is a friday during school.
