Denver Broncos Predictions with Bo Nix now the starter?

Basically, just interested on your take or your thoughts on Coach Sean Payton from the Denver Broncos naming Bo Nix for the starting QB job for the Denver Broncos? Me personally, I have a few friends who say he made that call too soon? Said we’re only 2 weeks into the preseason: They told me and said he should have at least waited til last preseason game to compare the 3 Qbs and then make a fair decision based on the 3 Qbs preseason stats/numbers”??

But personally, I think Bo Nix would have probably been the choice regardless of what week they were going to announce it? But what’s your predictions as far as Bo Nix being the starter QB for Denver Broncos? Basically, do think he’ll be a “winning Quarterback” a “In the middle/Average QB”, or a “Losing/Failure QB”???

Not a Bo Nix fan. I always felt he was overrated at Auburn due to being a legacy QB there. Going to Oregon was a good growth move for him, but he was basically a dude who played six years of college football and was only really great for the two where he should’ve already been in the NFL facing grown men. I guess I have no problem with Denver choosing to play him now. I just don’t believe in him as a long term success.

As for Payton, not sure what to think. All of his success was with a healthy Brees in a dome. I’m inclined to believe he’s a good coach, but he might be past his prime. One thing is for sure, I would bet on the Broncos to reach another Super Bowl before the Browns ever reach their first.

Tell your friends that comparing preseason stats is pointless. A lot of those stats are accumulated against players who will not make the roster. I'd trust Payton to know what he is doing, based on what he sees in practice. IMO Nix will be an average NFL QB.
