Democratic Violence

Assassinations

Lincoln (Republican)
Garfield (Republican)
McKinley (Republican)
Kennedy (Democrat)

Attempts

Jackson (Democrat, the Republican Party did not yet exist)
Reagan (Republican)
Trump (Republican)

Five Republican targeted and just two Democrats. Of the two Democrats, one attempt was made by a crazed former painter, whose work is suspected of poisoning him, causing his mental illness and before there was a Republican Party and Kennedy was shot be a communist. While Hinkley was no doubt crazy, each of the Republicans were shot by individuals with opposing political positions (i.e. Democrats).

I've been considering these facts over the weekend, myself.

This "kill the 'Pubs!" dynamic is simply the historical result of Democrat-supporting media when Democrats don't feel they are getting their way, stirring up support that eventually reaches the unbalanced and desperate among us, and becomes too much for them. No doubt about it. It's a dynamic as old as time.

Self-serving smarter people get dummies "to do their dirty work" every time, one way or another, in all aspects of life, as soon as they have the money to do so. All of life is like hiring a lawn service at home. Some people pay someone else to do it as soon as they can afford it, and the other extreme is the wealthy man that just loves to cut his own lawn once a week.

The reel of Dem politicians stirring people up is pretty shocking and obviously irresponsible. The media seldom calls them on it, yet they play UAW v. China EV "bloodbath!" games with Trump speeches, with reality-defying impunity. Nothing about this side of the Democrat Party has changed a bit since there were paper boys hawking papers on city street-corners.

Don't forget Charles Manson's "family" member Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme's attempt on President Ford (Republican). She got within a couple feet of Ford but didn't know how to shoot her pistol.

You people are some of the dumbest people around. WTF . Democratic violence???? So no violence is committed by independents or Republicans?? This finger pointing is what's wrong with America. Violence isn't a political thing. Never heard that theory before . Guess you people know more than psychologist, sociologist, criminologists etc. WOW. Never knew a keyboard gives one an education

I stand corrected. Two more attempts on Republicans by crazed Leftists (read Democrats) and one more Democratic president, but still no Conservative/Republican assassins.

Maybe Brownie can tell us why there have been so many Republican presidents targeted for death by Libs.

Segregationist Dem turned independent George Wallace was shot and paralyzed while running for president and, of course, Bobby Kennedy was shot while running.

Non-presidential, but it's hard to not view MLK's death as a political assassination.

The Congressional baseball shooter yelled "This is for health care!" when he opened up and dang near killed Steve Scallise. So, that was politically motivated.

Mentally ill men shot Rep Giffords and attacked Paul Pelosi.

Some of these examples are clearly political, but the ones that aren't, it's some form or combination of social dysfunction or mental illness.

I'm starting to sense that Crooks falls into this latter category.
