D7 R25 2022

how’s everyone feel about Danville? Group them in the same category as Lowellville, Southern, Toronto; above that group, below? I feel like there hasn’t been much talk about them. I don’t think they’re a contender, but maybe a team that can knock those 3 mentioned out?

I would put Danville in that top 5 or so. There is a big gap between 1 and 2-5 though. Big gap.

I agree. Its not the kids fault, he is just doing what the coach tells him to do. Mamula is not doing himself any favors for the future. There isn't another Vinny Ballone in the pipeline.

It’s just gonna be a revolving door in that league, one team seems to stand out every couple years and puts it on teams, then a year later they take their lumps. Ballone is fantastic tho, imagine if he was playing against better schools he would be getting looked at better by college coaches
 
Attended Mogadore vs Lucas game at Lucas. Beautiful setting but what an uphill hike for this old man. The grass field was in excellent shape after their turf incident. Seating was adequate but looks like they need to expand their home Seating. Great concessions, loved the fries. The game was all it was hyped to be. Congrats to both teams!! Way to go Mogadore!!

Ballone is a D2/D3 college QB and there is no shame in that. Honestly I think better competition would actually hurt him a bit. He certainly wouldn't have the stats he does if he played in the grey tier of the MVAC for example.

Standing back with zero pressure against lower teams. Nice team, but will struggle vs athletes. Reminds me of Perkins little brother.

So glad you enjoyed the setting. We love it here. That game was an instant classic. Too sloppy for my liking, but you could see that talent both teams possess. When I was President of the boosters we started making french fries. I bought the fryer! Lol. They have always been a hit with the fans. Good luck to Moggy moving forward. That Williams kid is an absolute beast.

Take aways from yesterday...

Kennedy is the VERY clear favorite.

Lucas has the horses to get to the R25 championship game, but not if they can't finish drives and limit the turnovers. Ugh. 😬🤮

Danville impressed big time. I'd love to see a Lucas v Danville matchup in the playoffs. Take it back to the old MBC days.

The Lowellville coaching staff should be ashamed of themselves. I feel sorry for their players.

Looking forward to St. Paul v Mapleton tonight.
