D6 State Semis: Minster vs Columbus Grove

 
Minster makes a three at the buzzer to lead 15-12 at the half.

Does anyone else think maybe they should call more fouls in these games so the defenses don't get away with so much grabbing and offenses can flow a bit?
 
After three quarters, Columbus Grove is up 30-28.

That is 27 total points scored in the first half, and 31 scored in the third quarter.
 
Never would I ever think the Elida Fieldhouse would ever have a sell out for a girls basketball game, but last night for the State semi finals. We had one, if not it was darn close. What a great atmosphere, a great defensively game between two great teams. It was definitely a fun one to watch.

There were sellouts at Elida for girls regional games in the early 2000's with teams like DSJ, Miller City, Holgate, Patrick Henry, Kalida, Ottoville. I specifically remember the semi-final game between Holgate and PH. Rival Schools 8 miles apart playing in the regionals.

Officiating was awful both ways... No rhyme or reason to any of the calls they were making. Girls would get tackled under the bucket going for a rebound then get called for a touch foul on the other end of the court... I about went nuts watching
