KIIP Academy isn’t the real deal??
Everyone says this every year, especially the last couple with Hartley and Steubenville up a division. It’s usually good regional semi and finals are great games. But truth be told the winner has competed very well in the final 4 and even in the state championship. The district may very well be a wasteland to the rest of the state but there’s still good football!Very weak region.
Hartley & Steubenville top 2 then a huge gap from there.
I don’t think anyone said they were.KIIP Academy isn’t the real deal??
I read earlier in the year they were saying they are close and within a few years will be very good.I don’t think anyone said they were.
Right. Those posters were correct.I read earlier in the year they were saying they are close and within a few years will be very good.

I still feel like hartley should be #2 even with the 0-3. Idk if any of these teams other than steubenville could keep it close with them but then again I could be wrongAfter week 3 w/ changes from last week. This is a week to week power ranking, not a projected Harbin pts list.

I see where you’re coming from but I still think even tho Hartley’s record isn’t that good they’d still beat everyone except for Steubenville. I do have one question tho, what ever happened to clinton massie?Drew Pasteur's probabilities for Hartley's first round opponent:
25% Logan Elm (6-2)
19% Gallia Academy (7-1)
18% New Lexington (7-1)
15% Indian Valley (5-3)
11% Marion-Franklin (5-2)
Hartley most likely loses to everybody on that list. Keeping them at #2 at this point in the season is giving too much weight to history. The defense is solid, but the offense sputters. They've only had one solid performance all season. Steubenville puts a running clock on them handily.
Same thing. Unfortunate collision of down year and up scheduling.what ever happened to clinton massie?
Losing best player for 4 weeks hasn't helped. Next week Watty will be favored but I feel it will be closer then experts think.Drew Pasteur's probabilities for Hartley's first round opponent:

That sucks. Imagine being a graduate on a state championship team and coming back the following year just to see ur team struggling to win some games lolSame thing. Unfortunate collision of down year and up scheduling.
I think Hartley is finally starting to find their groove. They are almost fully healthy and getting the right people in the right spots. Obviously kipp isn’t great but I was still impressed with how they played. I also cannot not see them losing to most the teams on that list.Drew Pasteur's probabilities for Hartley's first round opponent:

Yes. Last night's execution was much cleaner than against St Charles.Obviously kipp isn’t great but I was still impressed with how they played.
As long as both teams take care of business on Friday night this game will happen in round 2.Final top 16 rankings heading into week 1 according to Joe Eitel:

4. Indian Valley
5. Gallia Academy
6. Logan Elm
7. New Lexington
8. Columbus Marion Franklin
9. Columbus Bishop Ready
10. Columbus Bishop Hartley
11. Cambridge
12. Newark Licking Valley
13. Philo
14. Vinton county
15. Carrolton
16. Morgan
Predictions? I have Steubenville or Hartley coming out on top of this one.
It’s funny how at the beginning of the season this was to be the projected regional final. Now it’s the 2nd round game lol.Hartley vs Steuby should be a good matchup. Any others that you’re looking forward to in this region?
Well Hartley got screwed scheduling wise, 4 teams that were supposed to reciprocate a home and home contract bailed, forcing Hartley to scramble to find replacements, they did and played 8 straight away games. They just didn’t have the horses to pull away. Three plays go different and Hartley ends up 7-3 and #2 in region. But alas 4-6 it is and a second round game with Big Red. Wouldn’t be shocked if Steuby got their revenge, I don’t think Hartley has the firepower to score with them. It’s funny how at the beginning of the season this was to be the projected regional final. Now it’s the 2nd round game lol.
That's not going to happen - HASpeaking of scheduling, let me be the first to predict that KIPP Academy beats the Hawks next season. Because it's August, and the boys start slow.
