Congrats to the Perry and E. Canton Girls Softball teams. I have been following both schools and both are representing Stark County in the RIGHT WAY. Keep up the good work girls, you should be proud of yourselves.

And to Perry, I see you all have fired every coach from Football to swimming to soccer to basketball, whoever else you can fire or demote. Well, I hope this softball coach gets their due and is back. If this coach is fired, then there is a a MAJOR INJUSTICE IN PANTHER LAND.

be carefull "thewho" your gonna get sanctioned or have your rights taken away it you talk about the changes in Perry in a negative way......

How would anyone even consider firing coach heppe? she brings class and knowledge to perry...I hope that post was just steam being blown off and not a reality.

Yes, that was steam being blown off. If this coach got fired, that would be a major injustice to girls softball/sports. Perry has done well for several years in girls softball. It just seen Perry seems to be firing every coach, I hope not here. I am a glenoak supporter, however, when teams advance this far like the Panthers and Hornets, I give credit where credit is due and both these teams have represented stark county in the right way.

I have no idea if this coach is on the hot seat or not. I just have alot of buddies in the Perry area that have kept me posted on some of the other coaching changes and their disagreements on the matter.

is this thread to honor the girls from stark county or for you whinny perry people to start your crap .......

I take a little offense to your thread.

For one, I am not a Perry person now, before, or will I ever be. I think some coaches over there have been done wrong. From what last weeks paper stated, it looks like a teacher of 32 years is being done wrong and people are going to bat for her. I would hate to see this coach get fired due to EGO'S of the board of education over there. NO ONE IS SAFE. I don't care if they win the state, NO ONE IS SAFE. I have strong sources over there and what they tell me has come true, and I think that is wrong.

For two, it was an honor to the kids. Both schools are doing well and I am proud of what I see them doing.

Please, don't call me a Perry person. And even if you have no affiliation with them, you know what is going over there is wrong, despite what you feel about the people/school.

Ironic, because by the end of last year/season, there were very few "supporting" Perry softball that weren't ready to run her out of town.

Amazing what a few breaks/bounces will do to a coach's credibility with their own fans.

I gotta agree, Mudcat makes a good point. Hasn't Perry been decent in softabll though for the last few years. I could be way wrong on this, I don't follow Perry or girls softball to close. Why would anyone want this coach out. I could have sworn they won alot of games last year, I think.:)

You didn't seem to feel bad for all the Jackson coaches that resigned or weren't resigned or whatever they want to call it last year.Jackson cleaned house just like Perry.

And Yes Jackson's softball coach led them to the regional title game and walked away.Maybe Perry's coach does the same but I doubt it since she has more coming back than what Conley had at Jackson.

So it is not just a Perry ego thing.

To be honest, I HAVE NOT A CLUE WHAT GOES OVER ON THAT SIDE OF TOWN. No offense to Jackson, I just don't have any close friends there as I do in Glenoak and Perry. Sorry that happened over there. I had no clue. Your right, seems like EGO'S are running crazy there as of last year.

Perry won again, and are in the state championship, GOOD JOB GIRLS!!!:)

Pay no attention to anything that is posted by this guy....Same 'ole stuff,he posts and has nothing to say that means a thing. As far as the the firings go that have went on in Perry,it's like this,we are tired of the lifelessness that has been shown the last few years by the football and basketball teams for example. There are those that say that there are other things going on but look at the records of those teams, they are not impressive and moves were made, most of us have no problem with that.Great job Panther Softball...Bring It Home...Oh yea,the softball coach won't be going anywhere...

Horseplay, AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOUR SAYING, and yes, maybe some of those coaches needed to be let go. Being a Glenoak fan though, I remember is 2007 playing the Perry Boys Basketball team in the regional finals. Then I remember in 2008, they won the federal league regular season and tournament, and lost to a really good Timken Team in the Regional Finals that came down to the final minute. Do you really think the boys coach though needed to GO??? Curious on your opinion on this one. I don't know anything about the old coach, I just know what he did those couple of years, and I didn't think they were too bad this year.

Again, GOOD LUCK LADY PANTHERS!!!:)

To address the Jackson coaching situation, there was nothing sinister about Bill Conley leaving last year. He certainly wasn't forced out, nor did he leave because the girls lost (perhaps) earlier than anticipated).

They were not that bad at all but things have changed here...ALOT...I loved coach Toth, even had him for classes at Edison JR, High in the mid 80's.I was very upset he was overlooked for the coaching job before it was given to him.At Perry it is well known that if you rub a person in power the wrong way,you will pay the price.I do not know the real reason he was let go and I will not pretend to,that is just what I was told. There was some grumblings of players not returning to the squad over the way players were put on the team that should not have been..Now football...That's a whole other story...lol..

Horseplay, GOOD POINTS!

A buddy of mine did mention it now that i think about it, he questioned if the coach got alot with administration and that could be the reason why he was not retained. Thanks for the insight, and I strongly think you may have a good reasoning for him not being back.

Congrats to Perry!! Way to go girls. Maybe a repeat, I saw the pitcher was a junior, and she pitched GOOD! :)
