Excuse my ignorance on this and it was probably mentioned in earlier posts, but wasn't Colerain a National Power at one point? If I'm not mistaken their team in the 90's? was the best team ever in Ohio. And please correct me if I'm wrong.

2004 was the team, and the decline has been slowly happening overtime with the changes in the area and largely were obstructed by the success of the football team. When the football team declined it was reflecting the change in the district and made it more apparent.

This is fair to a point. It wasn't long ago they lost in the state finals. Also there were a few schools during the Coombs era that had athletes but coaching was a question mark.
