Jake Vanneman is the new coach at Bowling Green.
Brady is a fine young man. Doesn't seem that long ago he was my waiter at a local restaurant to earn money for college. He has been involved with a non-profit that seeks to help Appalachian children. He was a manager for a couple years for the women's team at Ohio St.Hiland is hiring Brady Schlabach as their next head coach
Girls Basketball | Hiland to name Brady Schlabach head coach
The assignment is pending approval by the East Holmes Board of Education at its May meeting. He is the son of former Hiland coach Dave Schlabach.www.timesreporter.com

I would give the coach more time. Seems to be involved in the youth and that should pay dividends in the future. It's never easy to follow a legendary coach and it's going to take time. Can we get a new head coach at Orrville
Alberts literally left Coach Summers nothing. He was as non-existent with the youth program as a HC could possibly be - wouldn't even go across the street to watch an occasional game at the boys and girls club. He didn't go scout. He didn't ride the bus to and from games. He had a team full of seniors that had high expectations during his last two years - but instead of preparing the team for post-season play, he played the easiest schedule he could and got boatraced by Chippewa and Loudonville. When those seniors graduated - it was basically like starting from scratch - while CVCA and Northwest underwent total program transformations.I would give the coach more time. Seems to be involved in the youth and that should pay dividends in the future. It's never easy to follow a legendary coach and it's going to take time.
As an example, there is a head coach that is highly thought of in NE Ohio that followed a legendary coach that some said underachieved in his first few seasons for that program's standards. In his 8th season as the head coach of that program, one of his teams finally won a district championship game. Since that season, he's been a part of five other district championship teams as the head coach and has made two trips to the State Final Four. Stability matters.
