Cleveland Browns 2023 Edition

Even more wild news. DTR is the starter Sunday, not Walker.

This is a player safety issue at this point. TJ Watt might decapitate DTR.
They just played a quote on the radio of an old Chris Rose interview with Andrew Berry, where Berry says that they see DTR very differently than the other NFL teams in the draft did. They kept him over Dobbs for something, and had him on the roster and Walker on the practice squad for the same thing, I guess. Based upon what I’ve seen in games, I don’t believe he’s a better choice than Walker, but these guys see them both every workday. DTR it is. Hopefully, Mr. Thompson Robinson reveals whatever it is, that the braintrust sees in practice.

too bad the Steelers don’t have a PAC 12 defense, like the 48 games of film that Andrew Berry watched and was impressed, huh ?

And they know as well as anyone the season just imploded.

It's also why neither will get fired. "Well sure we finished with a losing record but we lost Chubb week 2 and were without Watson most of the season, what did you expect? Let's run it back one more season Mr. Haslem"
This is another terrible aspect of this. Berry and Stefanski get a free ride. And we’re going into year three of Watson’s five year deal and will still have no definite proof that Watson and Stefanski can coexist at a high level.

10 wins is a lock with the schedule.

Not at all. Steelers will be fighting for 1st place. Broncos playing well now, Texans are hot, Cincinnati will be another tough division matchup...all on the road. West coast trip to play the Rams. Jets have a strong D and may have Rodgers back. Jags are a division leader. The only game they are the strong favorite is Chicago. 8 wins is probably the ceiling now.

^ C'mon. With that defense there is no way the Browns go 2-6 the rest of the way. Before Baltimore, we were 5-3 with way below average QB play all year.

Great defense, plus strong run game, plus even slightly below average QB play the Browns can go 4-4 the rest of the way.

If Rodgers plays, they’ll snap his other leg

I'll take the word of the other 31 teams.

I don't get into the gambling all that much but I may throw in a few bucks on Browns-Steelers for a tie just for the hell of it.

Seems like one of those games that's just going to be really ugly and tough. I'm thinking 13-13. The Browns will get in the endzone once because of the ground game and get just enough yards to let Hopkins rip a few. The Steelers will score a defensive touchdown and Pickett will get them into range a few times as well.

interesting to see if DTR will play like he did in the preseason.. people forget that he didn't have knowledge of that he was playing before his last start...so he will have a full week of practice this week... lets hope the young man flashes some of the things like he did in the preseason

I really don’t want to revisit the Ho-Ho-Ho money grab of these bimbos and their ambulance chasing lawyer. Watson might be a pervert, but he didn’t assault anyone. A lot more hype than substance.
man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Watson obviously is the former.

The Lord will judge Watson and his football prowess won't be able to keep him from burning in hell

USA Today blames the Browns current situation on the Browns themselves. And the writer is correct.

But just imagine if Dobbs had remained as the Plan B QB. Or what if the Browns, who knew how limited Watson has been, had beaten the Los Angeles Rams to Carson Wentz? Or what if they’d even asked the Houston Texans about third-string quarterback Case Keenum, who drove Minnesota to the 2017 NFC championship game with current Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski as his quarterbacks coach?

Shame. Didn’t have to be this way.

I mean isn't this kind of an opportunity? He doesn't want to play. Permanent benching. The Ravens have imploded late like seven times in the past two years, so who cares. The NFLPA is being ridiculous and screwing over the unsung players hugely with these contracts.
