The deal is dead, Kelly is staying at Oregon. Zimmer is still in the running against Brad Childress, Marty Schottenheimer, Mike Sherman, and some others. I'm surprised Schottenheimer has been out of the league this long. He is a pretty good coach IMO. He never deserved to be fired in San Diego

Marty is a great guy to get you to the playoffs. Just can't get you over the hump.

I was talking about in terms of a pure football standpoint. He has things going real well at Oregon. I definitely don't see that type of success in the NFL.

Exactly, especially when they run an offense that has not had good success in the NFL in the past.
