Chinese Spy Balloon

Hmmmm. Did we shoot it down or did it self-destruct? The instrumentation blew up first on the video.
 
Haaa! He shot it down over the wrong ocean. He should have shot it down over the Pacific, as soon as it entered US/Canadian airspace. Wow! he really showed them, shooting it down after they had their way with us, bisecting our entire country. Way to go Brandon!

The fact of the matter is that he never intended to do anything about it until the American people demanded action.

President Biden, who is the leader of the executive branch, ordered to shoot down the balloon 3 days ago. However, the military told him they would not do so until over water. To myself, it seems like a bit of disrespect and apprehension towards trusting the President's ability to lead. This will definitely be a talking point of his in his State of the Union Address.

No news from China yet, granted its only 5:30am. Have not heard from any of our supposed allies, England, France, Germany, whomever. Only nation recognized for cooperation was Canada. I would say its very much plausible that there is a Russia-China connection, considering the conflict overseas and the coincidence of this balloon.

Would not be suprised if there ended up being a Moscow-Beijing-Tehran alliance. North Korea leans on China for supplies, so I would consider them a part of the Bejing alliance. Hopefully conflict will not arise from any of these events.

A balloon floating over latin america tells me that they are testing our pourous southern border as a way for espionage or, not out of the question, a place to stage an invasion, perfect place. Using our fighter jets for conflict resolution off the coast of a tourist destination puts perspective on our place in the world as a country and US citizen.

Maybe it is a distant relative of Lt. Kermit Tyler that is in charge of Alaska Norad and decided it was just a smudge on the radar screen or B-17's.

Just spitballing. Could it be that China has watched to see how the US responded to Covid and the flying of their surveillance balloons over the US and Latin America before attacking Taiwan.

Odd coincidence that this should occur on the heals of Joe's garage door being open for the world to see.

How is it that the 2 balloons were manufactured and left to float for days from China to the west coast and seemingly nothing was done until it got to Billings Montana. Kind of makes you feel all warm and cozy.

1. Why was it permitted to enter the air space to begin with?

2. Risk on the ground is a convenient excuse to cover for weakness

3. Would risk to people on the ground be used if it was a missile or aircraft?

4. What will stop China/Russia/terrorists from using the same method to attack a city?

Balloons flew over during trump administration and he did nothing...so...lets address your ridiculous points.

1. It has happened before and there is no immediate threat so the military takes time and analyzes options.
2. A risk is a risk no reason to kill Americans
3. Of course not this is a balloon not a missile. don't be so dense
4. Now they know it will be met with immediate force.

3. The Japanese used far less sophisticated balloons to attack America during WW2. Don't be so dense.

4. So why wasn't this one met with Immediate force?

5(Bonus question) why is the entire world laughing at Biden? the Taliban after the Afghan debacle; Russia after the asinine prisoner swap and now this.
