Independence's Win streak in NC is also over. Indy lost to rival Butler last night. Indy hadn't lost to a North Carolina team since 2000.

SLC hasn't lost to a Texas team for 56 games but nobody considers SLC's winning streak to still be in tact. There was a minor debate about it on one of the Texas boards. The bottom line is that a winning streak doesn't mean much. I'd take a title or a championship any day over a winning streak.

I would take DLS 151, 44 and 34 game win streaks over ANYTHING SLC has done, especially since MNW exposed Texas championship football earlier this year

Independence Charlotte had a huge winning streak (against NC teams) stopped last night. SLC currently has a similar but shorter streak going (against Texas teams) but we don't consider that a streak. My point was that the Independence streak had already ended BEFORE last night in my opinion.
Winning streaks are nice but a state title is far more important. Every coach and every player that I know feels that way.
(Consumerman, don't worry, I'm not talking about your beloved DLS streak.)

SLC isnt getting a streak OR a state title this year. Bet on it. I talked to ref who watched them earlier and he said they are no where near as good as they have been.

A good friend of mine who refs went to the 7 on 7 and he told me that he would be VERY surprised if they run the table this year. He said that there are some chinks in the armor that needs ironed out or it is lights out for the Dragons this year
