Just a thread dedicated to the possible showdown of Centerville and Milford in the state championship. Ever since the regular season game was cancelled, talk of who is the better team has been argued over and over again. Any score predictions or predictions on whether the game will even take place between the two top teams in club are encouraged...

This is the game we have been waiting for!!!!

Here is my prediction.
Milford has the best Man Down Defense in the area. Very few goals scored on them when they are man down.
Milford has one of the best man up offenses as well.
Milford's Defense is one of the toughest in unsettled play. Some of the best teams in D1 & D2 struggled against this defense in transition.
This is the Clash of the Titans in Club this year.
Matt Butler is one of the best goalies out there this year and had big games against big opponents all year.
Milford's strength lies in their depth- They have more than one or two guys who score. They distribute the ball well and have many scoring options.
Centerville will need to play their tempo- if forced to play Milford's they will run out of gas- Have seen most of the teams in SWO this year and by far Milford is the best conditioned team.
Centerville's D will need to win the ground ball battle on their end- When given multiple opportunities to score Milford usually does.
Centerville's goalie will need to have the game of his life.

All things aside both of these teams have had great years and deserve a round of applause.

Best of Luck to both teams as they are the only two teams from SWO to make it to the finals. Should be a close game and fun to watch. Who ever wins it brings the trophy to SWO this year!!! See you all there.
 
Milford beats Centerville in OT. 10-9. Hard fought, clean game game by both teams....truely the best 2 teams in Club division. Congrats to all on a great season.

When you look back on the 3 year history of CHS lacrosse, it has come a long way. Congratulations to the CHS lacrosse team and especially this senior class. You're hard work and dedication to this program has put its name out there and it will become a varsity sport at CHS in no time.
