The ELKS graduated 14 Seniors from the 2023 squad which included the leagues top scorer (43 goals) and keeper with 9 shutouts.

Centerville typically reloads; should have another solid year.

Tonights match:

Peter Evans with a goal for the Elks to put varsity boys soccer up 1-0 over Lakota West with 26 minutes to go in the 1st half.

Lakota West answers right back, we are tied at 1-1 with 24 minutes to go in the half.

I think both these will be competing to get out of Southwest Ohio by the end of the year. Lakota was very dangerous in the attack and created a lot of issues for Centervilles back line. That being said with all new guys in the back I thought centerville took a huge step forward defensively. West may be the best team out of Cincy this year. Centerville has the ability to only create a few chances a game but able to convert on a very high percentage of those chances. Between Terrell, Evans, and Chinedu running up top that is a handful and they should make up for the early shortcomings of the young backs.
