CCHA down the stretch:

Well, NotreDame has the #1 seed for the CCHA tourney......Miami and Michigan also have first round bye's. The 4th seed is in Ohio State's destiny, they must win both games against Miami to claim it, or else it will belong to Alaska.....

Ohio State/Miami will be a huge game for seeding purpose. NotreDame, Miami, and Michigan are locks for the national tournament. OSU is on the bubble and will need a good series and fair well in the CCHA tourney to seal a lock.

Will Notre Dame rest Pearce and other starters this weekend against MSU? With the CCHA regular season title theirs, would you risk an injury to an important player?

Miami was embarrassing tonight. They don't deserve a at-large tournament bid if they do get one.

Their a lock...better to lose in the CCHA than the NCAA tourney.....

It will be interesting if the winner of the OSU/Alaska game will get an at large bid. I think the loser is definitely done.

Notre Dame vs Northern Michigan
Alaska vs Michigan

games at Joe Louis Arena

Miami was embarrassing tonight. They don't deserve a at-large tournament bid if they do get one.
Miami was embarrased losing a 3 game series at home but they are still making, and deserve, the NCAA tourney bid. They aren't going from a 8/9 ranking to missing the 16 team field. OSU is the one really on the bubble. What happens to Minnesota-Duluth will go a long way to determining the Buckeyes fate.

Since Notre Dame Last Suffered A Loss:

BU has 2 ties (Northeastern-a very good squad no doubt) and a loss (Maine-conference tourney)

Tonight the Irish beat the consensus #3 team in the land (Michigan) 5-2 in the CCHA championship final @ The Joe.

Michigan held a 2-0 lead at one point (in the 2nd) and a 2-1 cushion after 2 periods of play. The Wolverines were 25-0-0 when they led after 2 periods. I cannot see any scenario where ND doesn't get the overall #1 seed.

The fact that 2 of the 3 major college hockey polls had the Terriers ranked ahead of the Irish after their recent slipsups is a joke.

CCHA gets 4 in

Notre Dame
Michigan
Miami
Ohio State

my deal is, that Alaska should of gone before OSU. Alaska finished higher than OSU in the CCHA plus beat OSU head to head. Alaska made it to the Joe Louis when OSU did not.

anyhow....

Goodluck to the CCHA next week in the tourney!!!!!
