The Dayton Distance Runners Hall of Fame committee will be hosting a "Bob Schul Celebration of Life Run/Walk" and a tribute to Bob Schul after the conclusion of the 54th Annual "Bob Schul " Invitational HS and JH races in West Milton Ohio. The Memorial run could start as early as 12:40 pm or as late as 1 pm start, depending on if there is a Junior High School open race that day. The 5000-meter Memorial Walk/Run will be on the Milton Union HS Cross Country course. This is meant to be a non-competitive event. There will be no awards, finish times or entry fee. The High School will be charging a parking fee till 11 to 11:30 am. Feel free to come early and watch some really good high and middle school competition.
A planned "Tribute and Celebration of Life" would start about an hour and 20 minutes after the "run" start. We are planning a video presentation of Bob's Olympic Final 5000-meter race, followed by a recognition of individuals who have been affiliated with Bob. Individual comments may be possible. This will be in the West Milton HS Cafeteria.
