I understand that Local is more lethal on the ground, it's just the optics of passing up 9 tuddies.

Yes, I'm serious. It was my WTF moment. Should all hell come down on Local? Absolutely not.
But really, why do that? Seriously. Why? What was the point of it?

I think if anything should be criticized it would be that. Granted it was just to move the chains to run the clock out without changing possessions but I can see where the angst would come from.

However the running up the score criticism they've been getting has been a farce. They probably could have scored over 100 if they really wanted to run the score up.

And, to be honest, to get a freshman quarterback a little experience in throwing a pass in a state championship game, which won't hurt in a year or two or three when he is the starter.
