I was watching B1G Today and J Lehman was on at lunch. I may be alone, but I love that guy because he loves CFB and has great enthusiasm for the sport - and he cracks me up. Doesn't take himself too seriously and offers good insight into the game that jibes with my experience. Give me more J.

And I have a rant about BTN. They offer great coverage during the CFB and CBB seasons. After spring football and into August, the network consists of reruns of past games. I'm a fan all year round. It seems to me that there is a market for year-round coverage of CBB and CFB and the network could offer a weekday discussion of those sports ala Paul Finebaum or a studio show that would draw plenty of eyeballs. It drives me nuts that April to Aug is a dead period on BTN and Fox Sports and all they offer is a replay of the 2006 Iowa-Purdue game. Lol.

I have wondered why Fox has not found some "Yankee" talk show host to become the Finebaum of the B1G. Could you see some B1G homer with a thick NYC/Phila/Chicago accent and more importantly attitude doing softball interviews with coaches, players, and admin while pushing the buttons of SEC fans? I would think ratings would be solid and like Finabaum when the commish needs to spew some pro Conference propaganda offer him a platform for easy vetted questions so they can keep the narrative in the direction they want and not let ESPN have the only word.

April and May will be significantly upgraded with the additions of Oregon, UCLA, and Washington softball. All perennially ranked, the latter 2 in the top 10.

Also in the Fall they have had very strong ratings with women's volleyball, the B1G is by far the top conference in that sport. In fact ratings have been so good they will be adding inventory to The B1G Network and showing a couple of volleyball matches on the primary over the air Fox broadcast network this fall.

I personally hate listening to Finebaum. But, if the BTN tried something like that I dont even know who could do it.

Ain’t no one tuning into BTN — or anywhere, for that matter — to watch women’s softball. :ROFLMAO:

In fact ratings have been so good they will be … showing a couple of volleyball matches on the primary over the air Fox broadcast network this fall.
The writers’ strike must really have the networks in a bind.
