For those interested in BGSU Track & Field, and trying to bring it back... here's some info and an upcoming meeting on Wednesday night.
This is what is being sent around...
"Hi All,
Below is the link for the town hall meeting to advocate for the reinstatement of Bowling Green State University Men's Track & Field. The meeting will take place on July 31st from 8:00 - 9:00 pm. Please come prepared with questions, comments, and ideas. Attached is the proposal that was presented to the BGSU athletics administration. It is crucial to have a strong showing at this meeting. Please forward this email to other alumni and supporters of the program."

I hope they can get it back. The more students that get to take part in college track the better. It is a shame that so many MAC schools have cancelled their Men's T&F.

I'm torn. Used to love the place, but can care less about it now. None of my children were recruited with both parents being alumni and CC/ Track and Field athletes. The school could care less about me or my opinion, so how is my support to bring back Track and Field going to really matter?

It's been over 20 years. They gave BS excuses as to why they got rid of it in the first place. They seem to have my address and phone number for fundraising efforts even though I have asked to be taken off the lists until they bring back men's track and field.

How is it that I'm finding out about it because I happen to be looking at Yappi today? I'm an alumnus, head track coach at an Ohio high school. Have a girl I coached in her Junior year there now and one on the way. You would think that I would have been in the loop somewhat.

Does it really take two PDF's of nonsense to get something done like this? How hard is. "We should have Men's Track and Field, let's start it NOW!"

I want to see it happen. It's a no brainer. Mel Brodt and Sid Sink should be enough reason to get it done. It is a disgrace.

Just play that at the meeting... Mike Drop.

(Sorry, I guess it's a little more than I could care less about the place. I hate it.)

In 100% agreement with you. BGSU was synonymous with winning T&F back in the day. MAC destroyed it's self in track when they started whacking the men's teams 30+ years ago.
