KR new gym is very cavernous like so many. Not a fan. Never was in their old one.I liked the character of the old Northeastern and KR gyms. Shawnee's gym was always fun when the student section used to be allowed to be right on the rail. I like the unique setup at Stebbins.
Accept that after being in KR's gym for about 15 minutes everything blurred together as yellow for the rest of the evening It was especially difficult to see those yellow volleyball lines on the aging brownish yellow floor with yellow lights beaming down on it.I liked the character of the old Northeastern and KR gyms. Shawnee's gym was always fun when the student section used to be allowed to be right on the rail. I like the unique setup at Stebbins.
As a player and coach Beavercreek's visitors locker room was always cold and I heard it still is till this day. As a fan watching at Bcreek you couldn't get a good seat or you sat at top behind the poles but by far, Fairborn's the worse facility. Old Colonel White had bleachers with poles but the poles hardly blocked the view however, the the tartan floor, the atmosphere and the team entering from the bleachers made it a great gym.Hate to admit it but I have to agree Beavercreek is not a good gymnasium. It is outdated and undersized for a school with that enrollment. I have to wonder why they didn't do something like the SAC at Vandalia or Trent at Fairmont when they updated a while back. I do hear that the rumblings are coming back for a new high school built on the south side of town. Hopefully it will include a better, more appropriate facility.
