B10 Thoughts

As the OH HS finishes off the the Districts and heads to the OH Championships, tOSU will be competing in the B10s and competing for slots in the NCAAs. Unlike many years, there will be little drama as to who will take home the B10 crown. PSU will be coming in w/ arguably their best team ever, and perhaps the best team ever fielded at the NCAAs. tOSU has an exciting but young team. They aren't the B10 or NCAA contenders of years past, but they're fun to watch.

The team race is all but decided, and yes I know that you have to win on the mat. But PSU looks to win going away. There is a question about 174 Starocci being injured in the last dual of the year. But they could absorb a void there and still win. Here's what the projections look like using Intermat's rankings. It does look like a furious battle for 2nd. And surprisingly, a once proud NW team will strive to not get shut out.

Here's an alternate version of B10 Seeds and projected pts that I saw on Flo. It takes H2H matches into consideration.

B10s
1 - PSU - 152.5
2 - IOWA - 104
3 - MICH - 101.5
4 - NEB - 91.5
5 - tOSU - 88.5
6 - MINN - 75.5
7 - WIS - 50
8 - RUT - 45
9 - MARY - 39.5
10 - PUR - 31.5
11 - ILL - 26.5
12 - MSU - 25
13 - IND - 19
14 - NW - 10

In this version tOSU is nipping at NEB's heels and really not out of the picture for 2nd or 3rd. And NW is no longer sitting at "0."
