Anna Podojil 4th in SEC 800

Interesting athletic career she has had. Thanks for sharing.

When on website I thought I would see if Taylor Ewert was still on Arkansas team since haven't heard anything about her since HS. Not listed so looked her up and she transferred to Michigan St. Looks like she has had and okay college career but nothing like you thought she might have coming out of HS.

Ewert has had some pretty significant injuries throughout her collegiate career, unfortunately.

Podojil clocked a 1:26something in the rarely contested 600 earlier in this indoor season. I believe it put her on the all-time top 10 list for that event. The 3:49 4x400 that won the state championship when she was at Indian Hill may still be the state D2 record. Her sister Ellie, who also played soccer at Arkansas, and Elizabeth Whaley, who is currently at Wake Forest, were also on that 4x400 team. Podojil was also drafted by the Washington Spirit in the NWSL but is not playing soccer now.

Stunning performance considering the amount of time she's been away from track. Would not surprise me in the least if she breaks 2:00 outdoors this spring and then who know what her potential would be.

I would loved to have seen Ewert go NAIA as they support the walking events. I know she would've fit better there. NCAA programs are a DISASTER for anyone as talented as her for the walks.

Given her mommy was a 54.9x 400H for Miami back in the 1990s, and that Anna ran 53.x in HS for the 400, she has the wheels.

Her father was also a multis T&F athlete at Miami. Mom & Dad both went to Miami.
I remember Becca as my younger sister competed in the MAC for a year in 1994 before transferring elsewhere. I saw Becca at the MAC outdoor in '94 at Ohio U.
