The Zips (19-9, 12-6 MAC) really dominated the Bobcats (23-6, 14-4 Conf) a late boost by Ohio made the score closer than it really was. Ali Ali (Kendallville, IN) led Akron with 22 points on 9-13 shooting. Greg Tribble (Cincinnati, OH) chipped in with 17 points. The Zips nailed 62.5% of their shots from the floor. Mark Sears (Muscle Shoals, AL) led the Cats with 20 points all in the 2nd half.
