Gonna assume this is the final. No updates since. Will confirm but Vikes move to 5-0 as they prep for next Friday’s trip out east to Erie PA to take on McDowell.

Good news in the Level 2 points sectors this week:

Mansfield defeated New Philly last night and Cardinal Mooney blew out Mayfield to give the Vikings a bit of help in the Harbin Point rankings

I'd love for VASJ and Glenville to play in the regular season. They both had patsies this week: The Tarblooders beat up Senat Athletic League foe East Tech Friday and the Vikings beat up Cleveland Central Catholic, which is basically a Senate school with EdChoice. Hopefully, it'll happen next season

It’s funny a VASJ backer brings up EdChoice given VAsj is something like 80 percent voucher.

Rotsky would never play Glenville. He didn’t want to play Fr and JV games last season.

Could not agree more. If I had a magic wand, the Tarblooders and LC would be on the schedule every year.

4-1 but the meat of the schedule is coming up. I think an 8-2 is realistic and then my boys will be tuned up for playoffs. I won’t predict a state title but a deep run is not out of the question.

I only mentioned EdChoice because it was brought up by another poster and I find it ironic that one poster who supports VA so heavily labels another school as an EdChoice school when his school has similar numbers.

Just ignore the troll. I guess he forgot that Catholic derives from the Greek word for "Universal". I guess he thinks Catholic education should only be accessible to the Upper Middle Class and above.
No not really but I do think as a Catholic school you should have a larger percent of Catholics enrolled. I also think your leadership and faculty should be Catholic and reflecting Catholic values.

You are allowed to think however you want. The truth is with the current system in Ohio and the criteria used for Edchoice - alot of kids are eligible. There are kids eligible in school districts you would never imagine qualify. VASJ is no different then Lake, NDCL, Benedictine, Ignatius, St Edward, etc - they all have kids using Edchoice. Do you think all those kids at other schools are Catholic ? I'm not sure how things are down by you - but that is how it is in NE Ohio. I don't belive that a color of a child's skin or his or hers religious beliefs has anything to do with where they attend school. If you only allowed Catholics in these schools many would be closed. Everyone deserves a chance at a great education and high school experience - Edchoice just happens to make that possible for many that otherwise would not have that opportunity based on their family financial situation.

Other than Ursuline, possibly Erie (not a good McDowell team this year) Joe's schedule is really weak this year, Aurora about the same they only have Highland, Chardon has the tougher schedule as does Ursuline, just for thought. Good thing is once week 11 comes its a one week season of none scheduled opponents basically.
Joe's is a Euclid Ed Choice school??

I think because of where the school sits on the boarder of Euclid and Cleveland, I think they are Euclid’s? But I’m not 100% certain.

Dexism also isn't a hardcore Joe's supporter but when you are so obsessed with where kids go to school I can see how the confusion comes in to play

The Viking schedule when it came out looked pretty good. Glenoak has been pretty good, Mooney is normally good, Kenston is always solid, Ursuline is always a contender, SVSM is up and down, Erie McDowell is a consistent program and Gilmour is up and coming and #1 currently in the region.

The Vikings don't have control over how the above teams have performed this year. The schedule is not horrible. When your not in a conference does it really matter ? It's all about the playoffs this year - the regular season does not mean very much.

I wasn't implying it was planned, only stating what it is for All 4 teams?

I have not seen VASJ. I have also only seen Rotsky coach at Euclid. Whenever I would go to a Euclid game years ago when Rotsky was there, I could NEVER figure out why no official would ever flag him for being way out on the field ALL THE TIME. It will be interesting when he comes to PA this week. I would love to see a PA ref warn him, then flag him, then chuck him. ( 3 strikes your out!). He does NOT belong out on the field as often as he is allowed to be at the games I have seen. I hated it and never understood why no official would ever do anything.

I agree with everything you said, discrimination has zero place in this world, zero. My point however was that historically Catholic school attendance appealed to a larger Catholic population, that is not the case. Also I think if you are inspiring and teaching the Catholic faith, you should be Catholic. Many Lutheran schools require the staff to be Lutheran, clearly not the case at VAsj and its leadership.

Oh there’s no question VA is loaded this year. Nobody could reasonably argue against that. 3rd round of playoffs will be when the challenges start.

He won't need to be on the field. VASJ should stomp Erie McDowell. I know the games have been competitive in the past - not this year. Even more so if Bo plays.

Probably the case, depending on how they look vs Ursuline, I would say Aurora is the best test in the region.

This post is pure ignorance. But not surprised.

I see you're still trying to use your tired VAsj joke. Just adds to the lameness of your constant VASJ/Rotsky obsession.

Stop talking. Seriously. Either comment on football or just go away. And I am not a Joe's supporter just sick and tired of reading your thinly veiled bs.
