It would be nice if the district procures the lot across from the baseball field.

Looking for a little info from our Massillon friends, or Fed followers who often find their way into this thread. Avon has Canton McKinley at home in Week 2. Obviously, we saw them last season and I would say they were a talented team that lacked depth and overall line strength. Since they are your ancient rivals, I'm interested in what the Massillon folks...and Fed folks...are hearing about the Bulldogs this year. Nobody should know the McK program from the outside view better than the Tigers.

McKinley will be your typical McKinley team, athletes across the board that lack discipline and leadership....which....could still potentially be problematic for teams. Coaching is lacking as far as X's and O's and more importantly they lack leadership there too. A slew of "transfers" and how they gel remains to be seen. I look for McKinley to hang with Avon for about a half then to lose focus and lose 35/42 to 14.

The Bulldogs have a lot of talent. I think by the end of the year they will be quite formidable.

As a lifelong, born and bred Massillonian, I pay no attention to our rivals off season unless there is some sort of big headline news. Heard they got a few talented transfers, but is that enough to somehow make our games with them more competitive? Probably not.

Massillon and Avon have been on another level, at least in recent years. That includes talent plus coaching. The Bulldogs have a lot of catching up to do, and not sure one off-season is going to make our games with them much closer.

Saturday, I had a ride share with Uber set up and the driver's son plays for mckinley blocked for Canton South qb last season. She said they're gonna crush us. I was like I beg to differ. That said, they should get in trouble with the transfers but they won't. Also, they'll be tougher this season but I see us beating them this season

Why should they get in trouble?

I’m with MT3. There’s no reason for them to be in trouble for getting transfers. Perfectly legal. I agree it is hypocritical when the masses lose their minds when we get transfers but oh well. I just laugh at people who get upset about it. Let em be mad at high school kids if they want.

I agree. You should be able to go to school wherever you want. It irks me when private schools don't suffer any consequences for their open recruiting, but everytime Massillon farts it's headline news. Between oh let's just say Hoban and Massillon, which school attracts more transfers or recruits more?
Of course Hoban recruits more. They need a quarterback and three new ones show up. The trenches are always fully stocked. All I'm saying is, the same rules should apply to publics and privates.

Tigers23...are you hearing anymore on this?
I will be totally honest, no. So what I’m going to assume is that it is not happening. The one player that was talked about was a lineman and that would’ve been a big get for us. 3 star offensive lineman and I won’t name what school I’ll just say Akron area. But we will be ok regardless. Just need some boys to step up and play good ball.
