I thinks it’s sharp looking

That’s a cross over game and I don’t think it can be dropped due to conference obligations.
The school hasn't used that logo in almost a decade. The logo is the block TV you see on their new basketball court. That's the original logo dating back to 1957. The Patriot Trojan head was created by a science teacher in 2007 and the kids liked it and the school used it for a few years but received a lot of negative feedback from the community.

I know. I was there. I personally like the reverse Virginia Tech TV.

I fixed it for the match to the logo on the gym floor.

Last year Newcomerstown was able to drop IV in the crossover game, so it is possible. I don't know that it is actually happening but I wouldn't rule it out.

Updated IVC titles(boys/girls) since IVC expansion in fall of 2017

Tusky Valley-25
Indian Valley-23
Hiland-22
Strasburg-18
East Canton-14
Garaway-9
Sandy Valley-8
Malvern-8
TCC-6
Ridgewood-4
Newcomerstown -4
Claymont-2
Buckeye Trail-2

Crossover games are there as placeholders for lazy ADs and coaches that aren't in a continuous improvement mindset. There is a .500 baseline schedule out there for every IVC school if they put the work in. The top dawgs need to step outside their comfort zones like IV has, and the underperformers need to start getting surgical.

It can be dropped as long as both schools agree to do it from what I've been told. For most of the teams in the South there is really no reason to want to play the North teams so I think most would be open to it if they could find another game.

So if there are no crossover games why doesn't the South just go out and find two new teams and create an 8-team league? What benefit is there for the South to associate with the North if they don't play these games?

I know that the Buckeye Trail Warriors are a relatively new addition to the league, but why is the southernmost school in the North Division?

North and south divisions of the IVC when it comes to football have nothing to do with geography it is actually based on size. I think it is based on geography for others sports though.

someone asked earlier why do they have basically two separate leagues

this is one reason, a pool of schools that can do some different things
such as is the case with football things change for winter and spring in some cases.
also invitational sports track, golf, wrestling, etc can host larger events
The affiliation also assists in the programs like tennis not every school having it allows schools to match up at ad meetings those schedules

there is no one reason however the recent posts uncover a reason
furthermore I do think it would be cool if there was 16 schools but that is another conversation for another day.

No. Every sport with a division is based on size now. When they first started the league, TV and SV were in the North in everything but football and Newcs and BT were in the South for everything but football

That only lasted two years I think and then they went to straight enrollment to create divisions.

I miss the days when leagues were simple. 8 teams. Everybody plays everybody else and at the end there is a league (not division) champion.

well based on the past (last 5 years) there has much convo on a split of leagues

but the only thing that came of it first time was moving Newc and BT to north and SV and TV to south
and then the next bubble up the results were only one crossover game in football and it is not mandatory if both schools agree to not play

Some of the Cross over football games should never happen. If TCC does continue to play 11 man football, they probably shouldn't play any crossover games. Not good for either team. The bad for the south because other are trying to make playoffs bad for TCC because they want to keep a team healthy to play 10 games.
Garaway v Malvern, Ridgewood vs Malvern would be good.

It's the whole if you can't play the teams in your league then you shouldn't be in the same league thing.

It's one thing when it happens it football but when teams want to start skipping out on crossovers in basketball, volleyball, baseball etc then what is the point of being in a league?

Football is a different animal. It's a safety thing. It's not really safe for a school like TCC to play a lot of teams. They have to be very selective in who they play or they won't complete the season
