Who's coping? Lakota East is just better than Elder this year and much, much bigger. Lakota East's only losses this year are to Moeller and Fenwick in 5 (a D2 powerhouse). Elder is literally 2 years removed from back to back state title appearances, chill out

It’s not good. Just own the loss and move on, don’t try to minimize it.
 
The precipitous drop off in only 2 yrs is concerning. I don’t believe E ever had bad back to back seasons under Tierney.

You said it before on one of your posts, you are a casual viewer. You cant just look at the record and tell everyone to sound the alarms. You have no idea what is going on with the team or how the matches have went. This year, Elder has 6 losses. These 6 losses are to #1, #2, #3, #4, #12 & #13 teams in the state. Should they have beat some of these teams? Absolutely... but you would understand some of these losses if you understood the game and the opponents.

Small example... During 4 of these losses, Elder's best player has been playing at a limited role due to a nagging injury. Lets see if i can put it in football terms to help... The quarterback is at 50% and is only playing half the plays. It limits the offense. Removes a key component to the team's success and changes the dynamic of the team that was playing relatively well prior to the injury.

The only teams Elder has lost to at full strength are X and Moeller, #1 and #4 teams in the state. So before you continue to put your foot in your mouth, seek to understand the why.

I’m not bashing the team, but enough with the excuses and moral victories. Same with Baseball.

There are no excuses. The fact of the matter is that volleyball is growing and teams are getting better and better every year. Comparatively speaking, this Elder team is not up there with the state championship teams they have had in the past, but they are not 'bad'. Elder is still ranked top 10 in the state. Nothing to scoff at. Its just easy for a casual viewer to see losses and call this a bad season.

Come to some matches and support the team first, then you can have a leg to stand on.

I’ve been to some matches in the past. It’s a great product. The pace of play and how quickly momentum shifts makes it very entertaining.

And again, I’m not knocking the players or coaches. I don’t like Elder fans trying to spin these losses. It’s ok to lose, learn from it and get better.

watched a little bit of the Elder-StX match on line. Safe to say StX is just bigger, faster, stronger, and a lot more talented this season. The Bombers are loaded
