Push out awarded to Aliyeva 7-3

Push out by Helen 8-3

Aliyeva gulping for air.

Helen gets take down at the end, but ruled after time expired. Final 8-3 to Helen. Not even breathing hard at all. Only points she gave up was on a somewhat questionable step out where it looked like Helen would get it, but must have stepped out as she was forcing Aliyeva out - and the turn attempt that failed and she ended up on her back for a split second. Helen looks to be in great shape.

as it turns out, the length didn't matter much at all. Helen never in any trouble after that turn attempt turned into 2 points for Aliyeva.

Read on UWW's Twitter (X) that he flew back to Moscow last night to get his neck checked out for injury

Macey Kilty into the finals with a 10-0 tech! She'll face Nonoka Ozaki of Japan, who was world champ last year, tomorrow.

"Hildebrandt wrestles the Mongolian who beat her in the semis last year.

Maroulis wrestles Sakuri who beat her in the finals last year."

No more contrasting body styles than Hildebrandt and Mongolian. Hildebrandt a full head taller but doesn't get in to score until late. Hildebrandt got 2 takedowns late to go from 7-1 to the final of 7-5. Helen coming up on same mat.

SeaBass gets teched by Musukaev, comes home with silver. Musukaev with his first world title, first from Hungary in I don't know how long.

Obviously I root for the American wrestlers, but it's insanely cool to see Musukaev finally put it all together. He always had the ability, he would just fall apart so quickly and have absolutely no stamina. He changed that this year and showed what he can do with a full gas tank.

Safe to say Japan will win women's team title looking at what is out there already. Up by 30 points in a rough, but relatively accurate look at the current point standings. Tried to look at the brackets and where everyone stands, but right now the Women's Freestyle brackets show as not available on Flo Arena. That has occurred a number of times since yesterday.

Agreed. We knew he was a bad dude, but he rarely finished a match the way he started. Great tourney by him. His beard game is also strong.

There's always hope, but it was pretty much a forgone conclusion. Japan had quite a head start, but our Ladies are getting there. 🇺🇸 💪

Miracle winning 11-2. Gets a push out and its over 12-2 with 11 seconds left.

The 2 scored by the Korean was off a shot taken by Miracle where her back was turned slightly off a defensive move by the Korean - that was no more than 1/2 a second. Miracle finished the take down but it was apparently ruled a reversal and only 1 point. That scoring made no sense. If it is technically correct, then the rule should be changed. Regardless, following the "takedown reversal" she then gets 2 turns off it and its five points ending up the series at 7-2. Another takedown, followed by another takedown, then the pushout got to the 12-2.

Fall by Gray at 3:06 Was up 8-0 in repechage match. Will wrestle Cuban Portille for the bronze. Both lost to Japan by similar scores. Gray lost 4-1 and Portille 5-2.

Elor's biggest challenge is going to be trying to get Bas of Turkey to engage her. Up 2-0 and first warning on passivity to Bas.

Another take down at edge of mat. 4-0 . Stays that way at the break.

Takedown to Elor 6-0 Then another point shows up for no apparent reason. 7-0 May have missed a prior push out that didn't go up on the score board used by Flo. Don't know.

Elor fights off solid takedown attempt by Bas. Ends at 7-0.

Bruntil holding on to 2-1 lead, After a flurry of action, she leads 5-3 wtih :25 left.

Wow, not sure how the Chinese wrestler didn't get a take down as time ran out. Being challenged. Could go either way

And the result of the challenge with the score 5-3 = Challenge is denied. Emma Bruntil wins 6-3. Not sure she wins if there are a few more seconds left. Held on to arm with Chinese wrestler on top and Bruntil on knees and elbows after a step over.

Miracle gets taken down rather easily. Got a tiger by the tail in this one. Incze looking impressive early. Physically much stronger.

Another takedown. 4-0

And its 4-0 at the break. One of those matches where one wrestler looks to be 10 pounds bigger than the other.

Miracle doesn't get the takedown, but gets a turn - then gets turned herself. 6-2
