2022 Battle for control of U. S. Senate

Monmouth Pennsylvania poll: Shapiro (D) 54, Mastriano (R) 36. Fetterman (D) 49, Oz (R) 39

and if you believe that ......

I see Walker pulling away actually.
will be interesting. GA was going to be the easiest seat to flip. But I still go back to Dr Oz flailing in Pa as the reason I think it will remain 50-50 at best for Republicans.

House is always harder to predict with so many races, but prevailing trend is GOP will pick up seats. they only need 6 but the swing is often much higher in the mid-terms

Surprised you like Fetterman since he is all in on abortion up to birth. I would think that would be a big turnoff to a Jesuit.

I’m not a big Fetterman fan, though I’d vote for him in this instance. His opponent isn’t from Pa. and he’s something of a cartoon character.

My understanding is that Fetterman favors codifying Roe into Federal law, while Oz dodges the question. I think laws are enacted, and reflect, the will/desires of the people. Merely because something is morally wrong is not an absolute argument to criminalize conduct, especially when the citizenry objects. Criminal laws need enormous support to be effective, not 51% (and on this issue, it’s not even that high).

I think Oz residency is overblown, Certainly has significantly deeper ties and time living in PA than Hillary had in NY or Romney had in Utah. There have been other carpetbaggers in US history, but I do not know if Oz even falls in that category.

That said, Dr Oz and his pseudo-science quackery make him a horrible candidate to vote for. He has peddled such nonsense on Oprah and his show for years, with not much backlash for some reason. Glad I don't have a vote there.

What do you mean it’s overblown? Oz does not have the historic political stature of Bobby Kennedy, HRC or Romney to pull this off. Romney…a Mormon…he ran the Salt Lake Olympic committee prior to his Senate run. He was a known and respected member of the Utah religious and political community before he ran. NY has this ethos where they are open to the best/brightest coming to be with them. Carpetbaggery is not as big an issue.

Where Oz is from, whether he’s an UNWELCOME carpetbagger is an issue if Joe Pennsylvania SixPack says it is…and it sure looks like it’s costing him lots of votes.

But if you had to vote the choice would be between Oz who at least lives on planet earth and Fetterman who is a hard core leftist loon physically unable to do the job. Strikes me as an easy choice which speaks to just how bad the democrat candidate is here.

No matter how hard you people try you won't be able to reduce this election to the single issue of abortion. Much more important issues to PA voters around illegal migration, energy production, regulatory issues and taxes will drive this vote.

Not sure what I'd do with a vote. I do not know if it is true that Fetterman is "physically unable to do the job". I suspect that is political nonsense.
But yes, far leftists are certainly a concern, particularly for our economy.

He is going to be fine. A doctor publicly pushing health misinfo is malpractice, but Oz has a long history of it.

Look…madam. One of your knuckle-draggers mischaracterized Fetterman’s position. That’s why I offered the comment.

Democrats tell us they want to "fundamentally transform" America into a 3rd world, green, socialist utopia.

Anyone who votes Democrat is voting to destroy the country. 🤷‍♂️
You seem to be misrepresenting the message. Healthcare, SS and Medicare are not socialism and are bedrocks of every 1st world country. Along with human rights, equality, democracy and the rule of law.

What was the rule of law in the summer of 2020? Where are healthcare, SS and medicare in the Constitution? Oh they aren't in the Constitution, therefore, they are not the responsibility of the federal government. Who doesn't have equality? The United States is not a democracy and never has been. Such a dope.

Open your eyes and you shall see. Open you ears and you shall hear. and with your eye open and your years open if you can't tell there is something big time wrong with Fetterman then maybe you really need to get your eyes and hears checked out.

In politics, you see what you want to see
