Who wins the final TRAC boys basketball title? Why?
I'm not saying there are pictures of it, but.......there are pictures of it.Contenders
Whitmer - Anthony Stacey continues his turnaround of the Whitmer basketball program. Deric Jaynes and Antoine West get some help in the post with the return of Ja'Vaughn Jones after two years at TCC. I believe they could get over the Lima hump (i.e, sweep the Spartas in both TRAC games) in this final year.
Lima - They graduate A LOT. Khalil Luster, Brent Moss, Jargon Mayo, and Camren Miles (his foot was on the line, lol) are all gone to green-ish pastures. Don't know a whole lot about them but I do know beating Coach Q is never an easy task. They still have the 6'7" Jagger "the Dagger" Hutchins who holds an offer from BG, AFAIK, and Shalom Stout, who recently competed in the Toledo Top 64 Event.
In the Mix (in no particular order)
TCC - Really guard-centric with not a whole lot of height. Sophomore Mahki Leach will get a chance to shine, really good ceiling for him. Greenlee, Langford, KJ Johnson, and Brennemen will need to step up a lot. I think they might have one 6'4" junior post who will probably get a fair amount of varsity minutes. Chico Johnson may not play even if he gets cleared in order to preserve his commit to Drake. Pretty tough OOC (SVSM, Gilmour Academy, Perrysburg, and some Arizona teams in a holiday tournament) will shape them up for sure. Definitely will be a district contender.
SJJ - CJ Hornbeak is premier. Marquez Frasier is a pretty quick guard, and they'll have some other football guys to help them out. Schoen is a good coach, they'll definitely play to competition.
Findlay - Graduated the two Roths, though Jake Bishop and the two Montgomerys (if they play this year) remain. They do have a 6'8 post in Brady Lentz who played with the Jerry Easter and Associates AAU (or are they EYBL? Too confusing) team. Bested TCC both times they played them and took that very good Lima team down to the Khalil-Luster-3-Ball wire. Will be a threat.
Thank God for Realignment(?)
SFS - Kachmarik will make a competitive team. Jameson Heck is very good, and Telir Sanders will also keep them in it as well. I think they have another tall and skinny big, but I forget his name. To the CHSL and beyond!
Ross - Aydan Carter will carry; that's about all I know on Ross. They'll compete in the "Small."
Clay - Nowhere else to go but up, I guess.

Cupboard far from bare in Findlay -- JV went 19-1 last year. There are shooters and finally height. They are definite contenders.Contenders

Findlay is alway a contender in basketball. This year will be no different.Cupboard far from bare in Findlay -- JV went 19-1 last year. There are shooters and finally height. They are definite contenders.
My knowledge is certainly lacking regarding the Trojans. Any specific pieces I should look out for?Cupboard far from bare in Findlay -- JV went 19-1 last year. There are shooters and finally height. They are definite contenders.
Based on the JV team from last year UF basketball coach's son Ernest can shot the ball very well from 3 and will get his point and if Ryan Montgomery plays he can do a lot of very good things on the court. My knowledge is certainly lacking regarding the Trojans. Any specific pieces I should look out for?
TCC has yet to play a game. Their opener will be against… SVSM. Heck of a team to start the season off with.Whitmer is favorite but SJ beat a very good Gilmour Academy the other night. Lima will be very solid again. Should be a battle between these three with Findlay and Ross pushing.
I live in Lima and was told OG dominated Whitmer.Just curious as to if anyone went to the Scrimmage between Whitmer and O-G last Friday the 18th? Any assessments or thoughts if you attended?

I assume he will. They will take as much height as they can get, and if he did not tear that ACL he probably could’ve been near as good as Chico. I’m not sure who they also get from the gridiron. Will Clark be playing? Saw him play as a Fr against a very talented Lima Senior, he belonged on the court with any of them. Had his will. I know the leg thing. Seems ok. Other than that, it's not clear why he's not showing D1 offers in football. He's every bit the player Finn is at UT. I thought his basketball better. D2 in either sport for sure.

All honesty, it’s probably just the transfer portal and all the COVID seniors clogging the rosters. Same reason why two 6’6” kids had to play at Hillsdale. Clark does have some D2 interest and I think an offer at least.
Sam and Josh Lee, both graduated last year and neither had an offer with the exception of Hillsdale.Who are the kids at Hillsdale you are referencing?
Whoa. Talk about controlling the paint.Central gets 4 guys and another surprise addition from football back. Bishop, Clark, Christian Jackson and Tim Boals will be joined by Big Mark Nave on the court. Last I checked, Nave was about 6’6 and that lineman build will definitely give them a force in the post. Ill be honest, I was kinda shocked when I heard about it because he hadn’t played basketball the last two years he was here and I have no clue about his actual basketball ability.
Yeah, for sure. They’ll have a couple other kids in the 6’2-4 range, but nowhere near the size of Nave.Whoa. Talk about controlling the paint.
Shades of Orlando Pace,Yeah, for sure. They’ll have a couple other kids in the 6’2-4 range, but nowhere near the size of Nave.
Whitmer 83, Lima Senior 65.Tonight's finals....
Findlay 47, Toledo St. Johns 41
Fremont Ross 66, Oregon Clay 53
Toledo Whitmer 73, Lima Senior 65
Findlay looked terrible in the first quarter. The Findlay win over SJ was a surprise to me.
Yes and agree.Findlay looked terrible in the first quarter.
Is that Kowalczyk’s kid on SJJ? 6’5 as a frosh will make it interesting to see how he develops.
