The top 10-15 players who opted out are more to blame. No reason to be sending the C-D squad. Zero reason Bobby Portis and Walker Kessler should be anywhere remotely close to this team.

What do they call these, double negatives? I mean it's "TEAM" USA, and yet you're going to single out individual players? Amusing.
I thought they had a choice? Isn't that their right as an American?

Of course. They are still the reason to blame for a poor showing by the US. Both are true.
I don't understand, How are they the blame? I get what you're saying, not literally but figuratively.

You don’t understand how the A, B and C squads opting out, which is their right, is to blame for Team USA relying on the D Squad and having a disappointing showing?

Credit Kansas for exposing what an utter joke the NCAA has become
Bill Self and the Jayhawks were defiant in the face of a lengthy NCAA investigation and came out the other side virtually unscathed. It's another lesson in how toothless the governing body is at enforcing its own rules.
