2017 Lacrosse

 
Upper Arlington will probably be good because they seem to reload every year. Excited to see lacrosse as a sanctioned sport! :)

Agreed. Doubt a new coach will change the dynasty that is UA. Also excited that the OHSAA is coming into play this year. Hopefully this will improve an already good foundation of organization.
 
Nearly impossible to repeat in MIAA-A, but McDonough is an absolute beast on defense. Maybe best in the country. F/O is new and they need a solid x to lead. Could be a rising dynasty there in Owings Mills. Nice to have dorms and move-ins from the west coast. St Paul lost too much on both sides. Goalie might be the best but what he has in front is doubtful. Maybe they win for Broc. Calvert Hall should be a leading contender. Superb talent all around and tons of depth everywhere. Spreading the recruiting boundaries is good for bench. Coaching remains questionable. Boy's Latin is probably an equal contender, but have a lot to replace. LSM is awesome, and attack is going to rack up some points. Defense remains to be seen. Loyola Blakefield is another contender, I think. Strong on defense and midfield, but need someone to break out on attack. They are fun to watch. Still don't see it being the year for Severn, Gilman, MSJ, St Mary's, or Spalding. Decent talent, but just not elevated to the competitive level just yet. The pattern of the league remains the same. All the top talent in the country with a huge number of freshmen commits. But no work ethic. Need to move these kids into Ohio in the summer/fall to play some football and smack 'em in the chops when they downshift to jog. You'd think parity might drive them more.

Some Upper Arlington guys could hang in this league.
 
CVCA returns almost everyone from a very strong team, only 1 starter graduated. The rest of the team returns along with a group of freshman that were 13-3 last year are poised to make a good run the next 4 years.
