2024 Track

guess im not paying attention that closely then LOL. regardless, their main core will be less than 10 once the end of the season comes.
That's typical for all of us. Our championship season team will most likely have fewer numbers the better we are. Instead of using 3 or 4 throwers to get them experience, we might only use 2. We might scale the District team down to 16-17 kids. 2 throwers, 7-8 sprinters/ hurdles/ jumps, 6-7 distance. If we are not as good, or chances of scoring and advancing is not as strong, add 1-2 kids per group. So 24 ish. Maybe a few more because we have more alternates for relays, but can usually 24-26 would be a max for us.

Where are your school’s going this weekend for invitationals? I know it’s prom for some schools… Looking at the Poland Invitational, that meet is not how it used to be. Not as many big schools from NEO; mainly D3s from the area.

Big marks out of the Wayne Invite the last two evenings...

Jamier Averette-Brown (Wayne) lowers the Ohio Freshmen record to 21.37 (+0.5 wind), breaking the previous record by 0.15 seconds by Gahanna Lincoln's Blake Heriot back in 2007. He also lowered his own frosh record in the 100m to 10.53 (+1.9 wind) (= #21 all-time), 2nd behind Coy Hyre (Brookville) with his own 10.48 PB, who moves to =9 all-time himself.

ELEVEN (11) boys under 9:10 in the 3200m, FOUR (4) under 9:00 !
Connor Long (Whitehouse Anthony Wayne) takes the win with his 8:57.90 PB

Eric Pugh (Wayne) raises his outdoor best to 16' 0", becoming the 58th member of that club, but still 8" below his indoor best from this year.

Troy's Devon Strobel joins the 180 foot club with his 181' 8" win.

For those that complain about weather for track in Ohio. This is Alaska. I guess it would cut down on the wind.
