Elder Wrestling 2022-2023

POTP Whiz of a Whizzer™ Trivia Question, Middletown Sectional Edition
Three years ago, led by eventual sectional champs Drew Magness, Willie Doepker, Jack Collins, Seth Lambers, and Bartley Thomas, all 14 Panthers advanced from the Lakota East sectional to the Kettering Fairmont district tournament. That was only the second time in school history that all the members of an Elder sectional squad qualified for the district meet.
When was the first time that a Panther squad accomplished that feat?
Your answer need NOT be in the form of a question. The winner receives nothing. Good luck.*
*Current members of the Elder wrestling coaching staff and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Retired coaches are ok. Void where prohibited.
Ive no idea, but I will guess 2017

The entry grid for the Middletown sectional shows that, of the twelve teams who will be attending, Elder, LaSalle, Middletown, and Monroe will be fielding full squads. Thirteen Panthers are on the list of seed nominations: Broxterman (106), Lambers (113), J Thamann (120), Weigand (126), Mentz (132), DiTullio (138), A Thamann (144), Corcoran (150), Kurzhals (157), Lay (165), Kuhling (175), James (190), and Yerian (285).
The weight with the fewest entries is 106 (seven) while the weight with the most entries is 215 (eleven).

You mentioned Elder fielding a full squad but i don't see a 215 on your list (Kuhling (175), James (190), and Yerian (285)???

I'm thinking it was Sean Jameson in 2005 at Fairfield. He went up state to place 8th as a junior. The following year he finished State Runner-up after pinning 3 out of 4 at Districts. So in two years he scored 7 pins in 8 matches...not too shabby. (Thanks www.baumspage.com)

Wasn't he also leading in the state championship match before needing to stop wrestling because of an injury?

No, I'm sorry to say, your answers to the main questions were not correct. You did, however, answer the bonus question correctly. Thanks for playing.

I’ll take Orlando Scales 2008 Fairfield District.
Ding! Ding! We have a winner! Congrats!
While Elderstatechamps2020 got the last one, you got the two before that correct. You're now 3 for 4. (y)
As a junior, Scales recorded pins at Fairfield in times of 1:22, 1:31, 5:46, and 1:00. Here is the link:
His senior year, at the Schott Scales almost duplicated the feat: he went pin (2:45), pin (2:59), dec (9-4), and pin (3:26). Pretty impressive.
