First. Jobs are not unfilled because nobody wants to work. You can‘t blame the Trump/Biden enhanced unemployment forever. It has mostly run its course. Are container ships sitting at sea because we have a labor problem? No. We are processing 50% more containers per day than ever before. It’s demand driven inflation numnut. Finally, higher labor costs will also raise prices but that is not what started this train.Jobs are going unfilled because the government is facilitating not working. Consequently wages are artificially up because no one wants to work.
It's an open question whether this was planned...15/hr legislation was controversial so force the wages up through shrinking the workforce.
BTW you get wages exploding is one driver of the inflation spike right?
