Chaney losing her power

Listen up all you lefties who deny being lefties and I will tutor you on the actual conservative view on Liz Cheney. Perhaps the honest among you, if there are any, can stop these wild, lying narratives and criticize the actual perspective.

She is a neo-con, like her father. That doesnt make her as bad as a leftie. She has, in fact, voted conservative about 90% of the time. To put that into perspective, do you think the #3 on the Dem side votes against the caucus 10% of the time? Uh, no. It would be closer to 0 than 10 - because that is the nature of party leadership.

She decided to take her stand against Trump - which is fine as a matter of conscience. She was already on record about how she felt about Jan 6 and thru the impeachment - and she voted accordingly.

That's fine as a member of congress, but it is not fine for a leader of the party caucus. She had alternatives. She could have explained it as a matter of conscience, let her comments and votes, speak for themselves, and shut her pie hole. Then she might have been able to retain her leadership position.

But I have to conclude she didnt want to be in leadership and wanted to be marginalized in her own party because she took her pie hole to every leftist rag and network, and napalmed her viability. She is not stupid. She wanted this to happen.

But her political sin is party politics is mostly a zero sum game. Occasionally you get some middle ground compromise, but that seems to be a thing of the past. So, the Dems advance their agenda and win, or the GOP does.

Since the Dem agenda mainly rests on the idea of Orange Man bad and we must do opposite, her rhetoric amounts to aid and comfort to the enemy because she is bolstering that Dem premise. Every conservative knows that virtually every single thing Biden is doing is wrong and disastrous for the country. Liz has chosen to lend practical and tacit support to the destruction of the country because of her hatred of Trump and his supporters. She is a traitor to her party, the conservative movement, and, we would argue, to the country - not in a legal, but a political and practical sense.

That's why she has to go as a party leader, and if she wants to continue to aid the Dem destruction of the country, we would welcome her going over to the other side and becoming a Dem. She is one of the biggest supporters of US military interventionalism around the world, and the Dems are the party for that right now, so it could be a nice marriage.

In a few years we will read in her book her explanation of what she did and why. Until then, I dont care about the why. The what is the thing that damns her among conservatives.

It is insane to me that someone who the GOP had 0 problem with, who was well-liked in Congress, who voted with Trump basically 100% of the time, and was the #3 ranking Republican in the House got ousted simply because she doesn't believe in a conspiracy theory. She stated she doesn't believe the election was stolen, something backed up by court rulings, the Department of Justice's findings, independent analyses, etc. all back up, and now they're getting rid of her.

Just when I think it's impossible for the GOP to get even more looney and nonsensical, they prove me wrong.
It's almost like the Dems hating McCain and Romney (and Cheney now) for years and suddenly being huge fans of them because it's convenient.

Bingo !

Think of it as an upgrade. New handle for the POST Trump era as he has been publicly denounced losing an election by landslide to Uncle Joe and then losing the House and the Senate.
You're so "over trump" aren't you? Lol.

600,000. Millions globally.

Versus under control, disappear by Easter, under 60,000, fake cures, the list is endless. Hell you even heard him with your own ears say he hid the truth from you. Was he lying about lying?
COVID was pretty much similar to a normal Flu year, as we were told there was no Flu this year.

So it was a normal year for deaths from respiratory viruses.

Except we felt the need to ruin people's lives, stunt the educational growth of our children, and use it to elect an idiot as our President, who is surrounded by rabid Leftists, because of it.

HE IS THE WHOLE PARTY....wish he would go away.
No you don't. He gives your life meaning.

Not to mention he literally saved your life.

Only 5% of that per the CDC. The rest were some really sick people that got another ailment and their bodies couldn't handle anymore. Happens all the time.
Careful, they are going to want to cancel the CDC now, because the narrative is falling apart.

Liz was ousted because she started sounding like you kooks on this board....TDS

There were no leadership plans to punish any member for voting against Trump. Indeed, Republican lawmakers who voted to impeach kept their positions in leadership and on committees.

But Cheney felt a mission to keep pushing against Trump, even as he became a former president living in Palm Beach. Cheney's outspokenness grated on some Republicans, and on Feb. 3, some unhappy lawmakers demanded a vote on Cheney's future in party leadership.

Cheney won a strong show of support, keeping her post by a secret-ballot vote of 145 to 61.

If Republicans were so angry at Cheney for her vote against Trump, how did she win a leadership vote by a more than 2-to-1 margin just three weeks after the impeachment vote, even as Trump was still on trial in the Senate? The answer is, contrary to much media reporting and commentary, Republicans just weren't that mad at Cheney at that point.

"The press is trying to make this all about Jan. 6, but if it was about Jan. 6, she would have been removed two months ago," said one House Republican recently.

Cheney's current problems intensified after the first vote on her leadership, when she intensified her campaign against Trump. Cheney's efforts were undoubtedly media-friendly — she was portrayed as a profile in courage by some media outlets — but many Republicans came to believe, with some reason, that she had become a distraction from the GOP's mission to oppose the Biden agenda and win back the House in 2022. Instead, Cheney seemed determined to re-fight the battles of November 2020 to January 2021.

"I don't think the party has surrendered to Trump," the second lawmaker said, addressing a common media talking point. "But we are beholden to those who supported most of the policies that we voted for and agreed with. I'm not beholden to Donald Trump, but a lot of his policies were awfully good for the country, and a lot of people support that."

For her part, Cheney is now making clear that she has become something of a single-issue politician and that her single issue is Trump.
Recently, the Washington Post, citing interviews with a dozen people, reported that Cheney's "determination to name, shame and banish Trump ... had become fundamental to her political purpose." Now, CNN reportsthat Cheney is "planning to wage a protracted political war — through public statements and in the media — against the former president." And it will not just be a war against Trump. Axios recently reported that part of Cheney's strategy involves "baiting" fellow Republicans over their support of the ex-president.

Texas House Republicans are working on legislation that would make it almost impossible to sell Beyond Meat or Impossible Burgers in Texas

They’re starting with onerous labeling laws and now drafting a targeted sales tax surcharge on them, and proving state money to a PR campaign against meat substitutes. I’m not a vegetarian at all and those products aren’t very healthy, but that is ing insane. That’s not letting the market choose, that’s the quintessence of “picking winners and losers” that you faux conservatives used to believe.

GOP is now becoming:
* Anti-Democracy (BIG LIE is core belief of party)
* Anti-free market (banning meat etc.)
* Pro cancel culture ("Naw Naw Naw Naw....good bye Liz..."Madison Cawthorne)
* Ant-science/Anti-governance/Anti-Reality (Conspiracy theories)

She did have to intervene to make sure trump did not use the military as part of his insurrection plans...

The party is beholden to trump or his MAGA voters. Just look at Kevin McCarthy the week after the MAGA Attack on January 6th.

"The president bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters," McCarthy said. "He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding. These facts require immediate action by President Trump, (to) accept his share of responsibility, quell the brewing unrest and ensure President-elect Biden is able to successfully begin his term."

And today he CANCELLED Liz CHeney for believe what he stated publicly what McCarthy believed before he flip flopped after his Mar-a-lago cuckhold stop.

Dems are not "huge fans" of those two. Their approval ratings are not high among Democrats. Not to mention they were never Democrats to begin with. Their rebukes of Trump and his tactics were commended among Democrats, but that is about it.

The officials elected by GOP voters voted to put this person in power. That person voted with Trump almost 100% of the time. There was 0 issue with this person, a leader in their own party, until she distanced herself from a conspiracy theory that has been disproven by multiple sources, including Trump's own Department of Justice. The GOP is now at the point of praising conspiracy theorists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and punishing people who side with actual facts and evidence like Liz Cheney. It's a farce

Please....the left's self-righteousness is hilarious....

You said nary a word about the likes of Kamala Harris, et al, that said they would never get the vaccine because Trump said to get it.......

"Republcian" :ROFLMAO: (you'd think after typing that word so many times since 2016 you'd get it right by now)
What did I point out that was false ? What about Kamala is your response ? Sharp . .

So first she needs to go because she’s a RINO . Then of course that’s a lie so now it’s because she’s a War Monger ? So her Dad is also the devil now ? ?. Did you all hate Tricky Dick Hal E Burton back in the day ? When they gave her this leadership post. did they not know who she really was ? Oh they’ve seen the light now ? Or is it because she won’t go all in on the LIE ?
