Why Seth Lonsway Was Not Drafted In The MLB Draft

This is not unique or rare in baseball. It's quite the norm.

I just hope it works out for him.

Locally Cory Luebke passed the first two times he was drafted and it paid off when he went in the sandwich round.

This year's draft situation was also exceptionally unique.
Absolutely.
Also, which many people are not talking about, is the extraction of quite a few Mi League franchises. Some are to be reassigned to not be affiliated to certain teams, sorta like they do in some minor league hockey, but the next few years it is about to get very congested.

Could they have trimmed some of the fat of the lower levels? Yeah, but doing so now when they have a shorter drafts due to the boogeyman, is gonna be very tough for so many.

This will cost quite a few players their careers.

Hurting the class of 2020 high school players too. fifth year seniors returning, everybody getting an extra year. it is going to be a battle. Don't know if the Milb downsize is going to be as radical as speculated though.
