What are the best tournaments using a pool format?

I recall an old discussion about the top five tournaments in Ohio. The list included Ironman, Brecksville, Maumee Bay, Medina, Bill Dies, and Top Gun. To my knowledge, all of those tournaments use a bracket format. What are the best pool or pool to bracket tournaments?

Your question should be .... what is the best one day tournament? Any bracketed tournament has to go two days to accommodate the the five match max per day rule.

I think the best one day tournaments is a different discussion. I'm curious about the top tournaments using a pool format. Pool formats can be two days such as the Cheesehead Invitational in Kaukauna, Wisconsin and the Kansas City Stampede Tournament. There use to be a Midwest Classic in Columbus that had multiple schools that were national ranked that used a pool format. Marion County used to have a tournament that used pool formats. I think both tournaments are no longer held.

Avon Lake Knights of Columbus and Independence North Coast Classic are two very good early season two day pool to bracket tournaments

Not necessarily the toughest, but Waterloo runs a really good pool tournament in the D3 Classic. It certainly isn’t weak either with many state players and a couple state champs participating every year. 24+ teams with a pool into an 8 man bracket on day 2. Not to mention the silver gym on day 2 giving all kids multiple competitive matches over the 2 days.

Both Painesville Riverside and Cuyahoga Hts run pool to bracket tournaments. Unfortunately they are on the same weekend, the second weekend of the season (the same date as Ironman).
Riverside is two days and Cuy Hts. is a single day.
