Warning to Central Jackson Residents - Read This

In today's Rep today (12/17/09), there is a story about a woman opening her home's door to an unknown man, and the guy sexually attacking her. The incident took place on Youngdale, which is in the neighborhood on the SW corner of Portage & Lake O'Springs, the very same neighborhood which reportedly had the peeping tom last summer (I think they caught that guy, though). I'm pretty familiar w/this neighborhood & it's a good neighborhood, but obviously has a very bad egg or two somewhere.

The suspect is white, late teens or early 20s, medium height with a thin to medium build. He has a fair complexion with freckles.

The suspect also has light brown eyes and brown hair and he wore a dark-hooded sweatshirt.

Just wanted to get the word out to those in this area to exercise caution, and hopefully catch this guy! Call JTPD at 9-1-1 or 834-3967 if you have any info.
 
 
So no sooner does this come out, than a friend of mine on Palmer (one street over from Youngdale) has both their cars broken into overnight Thursday/Friday. There's obviously a few bad eggs roaming around in that neighborhood, so please exercise common sense in protecting yourselves & your valuables.
 
I hope that does solve the theft ring, as my friend said two more people on her block also had break-ins last week.

However - the sexual attacker doesn't appear to be the same person, and I haven't heard if he's been caught yet. So if you live in that area, please continue to be vigilant.

While still as tragic (three people losing their lives), turns out it wasn't a random act, rather a double murder-suicide.

So it appears the only unresolved issues (to my knowledge - my friend hasn't heard anything either) is the sexual assault.
 
Yikes! When I first saw this in the paper, I saw my neighbor Mark Bolin, pictured in the Rep's story about this, and I initially thought it was in my neighborhood. But apparently, the Bolins moved away from my neighborhood and are now living across from the murder-suicide location. Shoulda stayed in Willowdale, Mark. It's safer. ;)

Seriously, though, this is awful. Thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims. God bless and keep them.
