Video taping games

I have seen an increase in parents setting up cameras on the fences to tape their daughters' pitches - just curious can an opposing coach say no to this? Are there any rules surrounding the taping of games?

I would guess that the home team gets to decide or the tournament director if it is at a tournament.

We've video taped our games and have never had a problem with an opposing coach.

No rules about taping games. Most people are taping for recruiting purposes or for the highlights not scouting. It's funny you said "to tape their daughters' pithes". Most people I know who tape that are not coaches are taping their daughters' swings.

The one thing I saw that was upsetting was video was shown to the coach during the game, kind of gives an unfair advantage IMO

There was a time when some leagues had a ban on technology during the game. You were free to tape a game, just not use it during the game. This also applied to texting. There was a story about 15 years ago about a coach texting his coaches from 3rd base coaches box. Most leagues had a ban on it at the time.

And I agree about being upset with it during the game. It does give an unfair advantage.
