Obama did nothing....which isn't surprising. Like most dems..they are economically illiterate. Obama never ran a lemonade stand.....never received a paycheck other than those from the taxpayer. He knew as much about economics as I do the most popular rap artist in the 90's.

He did manage one of the largest economic crisis' in american history and turned things around. Trump's mishandling of one of the largest health crisis creating a more prolonged economic crisis. He also mishandled PPE distribution, preventing the spread and grifting away the PPP loans.

Actually the Farm Bailout is well over $30B now. With no mechanism to pay it back, unlike auto. Is that welfare, or socialism? You choose.

Farm bailout occurs in every administration..and no, I don't agree with it..doesn't matter what party is in.

I think we need to debate this statement.

Is remaining stupid on Obama's part a choice or an inconvenient fact?

I have heard many people say through the years "I could be rich, I just choose not to make wealth a priority". I take them at their word but often wonder if they would really have what it takes to compete, manage, identify market needs, create a delivery system etc.


In the case of Obama I dont think it's a choice to not make smart decisions. He is what he is, and smart is not one if his attributes. Admire the guy for getting where he did with so little.

Lol. It took Obama's entire administration to come back from the 2008 recession. His entire first term was garbage, the second not much better. His policies kept the economy down.

The stock market jumped practically overnight when Trump won and it continued to soar until we kneecapped the economy over Covid. Now Biden is going to inherent an economy primed to jump back on the wagon, and then he and democrats will take credit for it all when the vaccine eventually enables society to return to normal - only the gains will be much smaller compared to what they would have been under a second Trump administration.

I posted this before....there are 4-5 very red rural counties in Ohio where over 80% of the babies born are supported by medicaid. Not exactly the rugged individualistic, capitalist they portray themselves to be.
 
Look what a great deal bailing out GM was. If you look close the Govt lost money because they took stock as payment only they valued the stock way to high and it never made to the point the Govt got their money back. Then look how GM paid us back for bailing them out they when in to partners with the China Govt and built somewhere around 11 plants in China. Go check and see where that new GM vehicle you were thinking about buying was built. Not all but some are made in China
