Twinsburg 65 Hudson 50

Twinsburg used a series of big runs to roll over Hudson tonight. Hudson fought hard in the 4th to bring the score back to a more respectable margin. Twinsburg started each quarter on 10-3, 10-2, and 10-0 runs building up a lead as big as 20-25 points. Malina Howard finished with 23 pts, Gatewood with 12, Morrisette with 11 along with a couple really nice assists. Still things to work on (like not getting technical fouls up big  lol) but it was an impressive win over a game Hudson squad. Hudson gassed a couple times in the first half and that hurt. To their credit, they played hard til the last buzzer.

No actually... Twinsburg pressed the entire game full-court. Hudson did mix in their usual half-court traps later in the game but started in a match-up 2-3 zone. Howard got looks deep in the post a lot despite Hudson's best efforts to keep the ball away from her.

The Runs killed us!!

Twinsburg is as good as advertised. Like McGal stated 10-0 and 10-3 runs is something you can't allow to hang with them. Girls did their best and never stopped playing hard.

If there is a weakness it would be to get them into foul trouble. Though Morrissette was the only one last night, there was some groupings that they put out that didn't play well together. But I still came away amazed how they get after you on defense. I think the Howard kid got away with a few hand checking fouls, that could have been called. But Hudsons got away with a lot of holding and hacking so it all evens out.

Two techs were called last night! One on #15 for Twinsburg, missed what she did, and Twinsburg male coach got hit with one, when they were up by 20.  Any word on what happened there?

On a sad note, heard former Hudson star Jessica Monsman season ended at Penn due to ACL injury. Wishing her a speedy recovery and best wishes.
